❗️The mobilization of security forces has begun in Poland – what is known about the attempted coup in Poland at this moment:
— The conflict has been ongoing since 2023 due to judicial reforms. Prime Minister Tusk is trying to change the judicial system, but President Nawrocki is opposed;
— This spring, the conflict flared up again: Parliament elected six judges, but Nawrocki approved only two, preventing supporters of Tusk from taking office;
— Today, Tusk, along with the police, blocked the building of the Constitutional Tribunal and announced the suspension of the powers of Chairman Bogdan Święczkowski and Vice-Chairman Bartłomiej Sochański;
— "There is no other way. After many years of lawlessness, this is a difficult, sometimes painful process that requires decisive action," Tusk stated;
— It is reported that security forces from across the country are being mobilized in Poland. Protesters are beginning to be arrested;
— President Karol Nawrocki cut short his foreign trip and returned to Warsaw. He is currently heading to a meeting with the President of the Constitutional Tribunal.
Currently, Prime Minister Tusk is planning to remove the President of Poland from power, according to local media.
