Hayden Carter’s jersey is on the bench today, just as it has been for every game this season. More on how her tragic passing July fueled Cocke County to this point: newportplaintalk.com/sports/…

This season has brought so many new challenges for @CockeCoWBB. Yet here they stood on Saturday night, savoring a second-straight state tournament berth. “I’m just so proud of them, and words can’t describe my love for those girls.” READ: newportplaintalk.com/sports/…

A season unlike any any other, yet an ascension that’s now very familiar for Boddie Bible. Who’s ready to go back to Murfreesboro?!

Line of the night goes to @DrVick3, who summarized a number of fiery exchanges between Northview and Cocke County players with the following: “I don’t think these girls will be inviting each other for ice cream anytime soon.” Cocke County leads 62-46, largest lead of the night, with approximately two minutes left. First district title since 2013 is all but locked up.
