This plaque commemorates the first trans conference which happened here in 1974. We're still listening and committed to trans rights. Parkinson is lit up tonight for #TransDayOfVisbility, recognising the courage it takes to live openly and authentically. bit.ly/3cwwcHZ

Organised by The Beaumont Society, this was the first dedicated conference for trans people. Providing talks, screenings and discussions, it was attended by over 100 academics."
