Every time someone says "how about we build more public housing" a clown car opens and a bunch of rich guys pile out going "what about shipping containers? What about dorms? What about tiny houses?" and we have to recognise that the purpose is to stop the solution we know works.

in college a film student sent an unhinged ~4k word email to a professor and CCd the entire film department. he included the line “i was made for war, and i excel at it.” i have never forgotten that

Maybe if Democrats spent weeks leading a mobilization effort against the bill -- a national strategy with rallies in key districts -- instead of having meltdowns about Zohran, I'd be a bit more enthusiastic about Jeffries's grand plan to... delay the vote until the afternoon.

Text on photo of a cat and a tree that reads: Reminder that I am heavily anti-AI and will never use something like chatgpt or midjourney to conceptualize or create your tattoo (or any of the work that I make). If you select me as your artist for a tattoo, I want to give you something unique and made by my own hand and my own mind. I have over 20 years of artistic training and practice for this reason, not for a computer that has robbed artists (myself included) and pollutes our land to do my job for me. If you ask me to use AI or bring me AI and push me to use it for your tattoo, I will not move forward with you as a client. If you disagree that’s fine, but my stance on this is & has been decided.

More celebrities reacted negatively to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the oscars than they did for an oscar winner getting lynched by an israeli mob. what happened to them being scared and traumatized, was the slap somehow more traumatic than a literal targeted assault
