Anyone got any tips for getting over the sheer horror of writing positively about yourself? I haven't updated my LinkedIn since about 2016 and I have to accept that it's time...

I've recently reanimated some old uni habits to try and boost my productivity. My current favourite is designating tiny piles of mini marshmallows as a little treat for when I finish an email or a section of a blog.

The campaign, called “Ketchup Fraud,” centers on restaurants that refill Heinz Ketchup bottles with generic ketchup, in an attempt to save a few bucks. ow.ly/vpmT50NtIE1

I just want to talk to whoever it was who thought it was a great decision to put my laptop’s webcam at the bottom of the screen. Everyone can see my little goblin hands typing away on briefing calls.

Jumped on a client I haven't worked on in a while, and it's the first time in ages that I've needed to go off and search up a bunch of obscure acronyms and industry terms before getting started. What a nice pace change!

So excited to join the crowd for this one! I have some very strong, very mixed opinions about ChatGPT, so I can't wait to hear what everyone else thinks.
What can ChatGPT teach us about the art of writing? How can writers use this tool? Is it a threat we should be worried about? Come and discuss these and other questions at the Bristol Content Group meet up on eve of 29 March eventbrite.co.uk/e/chatgpt-f…

It's not every day (or possibly every year) that our constantly busy Head of Copy gets to share some knowledge on our blog. But when he does, it's always dynamite. Here's Matt, explaining why #AI isn't about to steal our #copywriting jobs. radix-communications.com/cha…

The correct way to say this in Cornwall is actually "sum bleddy cold innum".

"Sometimes, you’ll feel a sense of guilt as you’re typing a sentence. Your gut knows and it’s telling you to use that backspace..." Rid your copy of those #B2B content clichés. bit.ly/3Oe1Qd8

I like to use third person when I'm trying to avoid coming across as accusatory while still highlighting an issue. It's useful for those "some companies are doing this ridiculous thing that's costing them money (obviously not you, reader, you'd never be that silly)" points.
Writing in the first person is almost always better than writing in the third person, as it helps to connect directly with the reader as an individual. @CantaloupeUK looks at how small tweaks to business writing can make a big difference: bit.ly/3xWTUG7 #ProCopyBlog

I think *my* hit rate for identifying AI-generated text is probably higher than 26%. OpenAI releases tool to detect AI-generated text, including from ChatGPT tcrn.ch/3HfG1rO via @techcrunch

At @radixcom we often joke about how processing feedback can map loosely to the 5 stages of grief. I personally replace the first 4 stages with "silently plotting dramatic revenge", before coming to my senses, reaching acceptance & just making the (often pretty minor) changes.
As Sarah Fencott in our latest Member Spotlight reminds us: 'Separate your writing from yourself as a person when it comes to feedback.' bit.ly/3j8Pbyo Though hands up if @veronicadearly (below) is still ringning bells for you... 🙈 #copywritersunite
