Exactly what I did - and it's been lots of fun. The holiday season is a great time to look for a job in retail.

Very excited that my hometown team, @Brewers, have won their first-ever World Series! A great effort by a nice bunch of guys. Congrats.
...out front.
But that all changed in the 1930s, when the newly-founded Aarhus University was building its campus.
A local brick company offered one million yellow bricks free of charge, and the architects accepted.

As an American who has lived in Europe for more than 25 years, I meet this type of hopeful newcomer a lot. They assume they'll get everything they have in the US *plus* everything available in Europe. But the systems often contradict each other, economically and culturally.
The internet told them Europe was a social paradise. Turns out the trains are awful, the health care isnโt free, and people can be really mean. buff.ly/5cLtnha
For example, our "free" (taxpayer-paid) public health care in Denmark is very reactive: you go to the doctor when you're sick. There's very little preventative care, like an annual physical, and you can't order up, say, a blood test just because you think it's a good idea.

Love this idea. When I work with kids, I find they're fascinated by space and tech (along with sharks and dinosaurs). Now all we need is a pop-up version of these books. Can't beat a pop-up.
my kids keep hearing about Palmer and the boys.
went looking for childrenโs books they could read to learn about how these guys locked in and what they're working on now. but it's all outdated content mill slop or woke anti-tech propaganda.
so we did some research with @grok and made our own this weekend. now getting a few copies printed so they can take to school.
