NAFDAC Seizes Counterfeit Alcoholic Beverage Packaging Materials Worth Over ₦200 Million in Aba Today, NAFDAC, acting on credible intelligence, raided five shops at Old Court Road Market, Aba, Abia State, suspected of producing and supplying counterfeit packaging materials for popular alcoholic beverages and other products. The operation uncovered counterfeit labels, corks, packs and outer packaging materials bearing the names of several brands, including Jameson, Glenfiddich, Four Cousins, Lord’s Dry Gin, Imperial Blue, Goya Oil, Chelsea, Squadron and Seaman’s Aromatic Schnapps. The packaging materials seized were estimated to be worth over ₦200 million. During the operation, NAFDAC’s Investigation & Enforcement operatives encountered threats and resistance from traders, making the evacuation of the seized materials challenging. The owners of the five shops were absent, and the premises were placed on hold to prevent interference with the items remaining inside. NAFDAC issued an invitation to the Market Union Chairman, who pledged to ensure the security of the sealed premises and assist the Agency in identifying and presenting the shop owners.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not just occupying the office of President—he is showing what it means to lead with a clear direction and the courage to make difficult decisions. If the opposition truly understands the political force they are preparing to confront, they will know that the road ahead will not be an easy one. The APC is not approaching the next election merely as a contest; it is preparing to demonstrate the strength of its political structure and the impact of its leadership. From my personal observation, President Tinubu listens to Nigerians, but he does not simply adopt every suggestion put before him. He considers what is consistent with his policies, what is practical, and what he believes will move the country forward. That, in my view, is an important distinction between listening to the people and governing by every popular suggestion. For me, Jagaban's ambition goes beyond winning an election. It is about building a political legacy and laying the foundation for a successor who can continue the work and sustain whatever progress his administration achieves. This is the time for Nigerians to remain politically conscious, examine the records and policies of all contenders, and decide for themselves what kind of leadership they want for Nigeria. For those of us who believe in President Tinubu's direction, the message is simple: stay focused, stay engaged, and keep supporting the vision you believe will move Nigeria forward. Jagaban is in the arena, and the political battle will speak for itself.

Over the past few days, servicemen and women of the Armed Forces have shared what the recent pay increase means for them and their families. I am glad it is making a difference. This week, the Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy operationalised new formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo and Osun. Our troops are now closer to vulnerable communities in these areas, strengthening our ability to respond swiftly and decisively when our people are threatened. We are also fast-tracking the construction of new barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi and Kogi, with Osun already completed. As we demand more from our men and women in uniform, we must do more to support them and their families. Every deployment is a sacrifice made by a family too. As our Armed Forces stand watch over Nigeria, my duty as Commander-in-Chief is to ensure they have the resources and support to do their job, and that Nigeria stands firmly behind the families waiting for them at home. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria @NGRPresident @NigeriaGov

I don't even want him to continue building anything with her. That ship has long sailed, and he should outgrow that "puppy love". What I really want to talk about is this habit of young men asking ladies that they did not meet as virgins, how many men they have slept with. What exactly do you need that information for and how is it going to help you? You act as if you're mature and that you can handle whatever information she gives to you (which is mostly not true), and then later start to feel insecure about it? Is it for lack of having anything to discuss that you ask such childish questions? As you young men are fucking upandan, so are young women fucking upandan. Any woman that did not accumulate her body counts through prostitution is not a loose woman. It doesn't matter if she had been with 10 men. You young men will never accept to be in a sexless relationship, especially if she's not a virgin. So if she accepts to be in a sexual relationship with you, and the relationship doesn't work out, what then happens? That she should not be in another sexual relationship because... Body counts? What about the young women that you deflowered yourself? Why did you leave her? If virginity was so important and all that mattered, why didn't you continue the relationship with her and then marry her, eventually? After all, no be you cut ribbon? You see that it doesn't make sense, correct? A woman that you met as a virgin and deflowered her, can still cheat on you. Her character may not be what you bargained for. She can outgrow you, or you may fall out of love with her. She may have a higher mental energy than you do. Both of you may not even be sexually compatible. Many things can ruin a relationship that you once thought was the next best thing to sliced bread. And I keep saying this thing: Most men did not meet their wives as virgins, and they're still happy with their choices and building a family together. And you young women, learn how to bridle your tongues. A man will ask you such questions and you'll just open your mouth waaaaaaa! Even when you're still lying. The only past relationship that you should disclose to him is one that lasted at least 6 months to one year. Not all the NEPA relationships that you were involved in. A man will always assume that any relationship that you entered into was sexual. So while you may have been with say 10 men and slept with only 2, the man will not believe that you slept with only 2. Receive sense in Jesus name. AJD.

Everyone in Nigeria has a location. Now every location has a postcode. Today, NIPOST launches the National Digital Postcode System, and I’m speaking to you from the heart of it: our new GIS lab, where every corner of Nigeria is being mapped and coded. No more “turn left after the blue gate.” Your postcode connects you to deliveries, e-commerce, emergency services, banking and government services, wherever you are. After a successful pilot in Abuja, it’s now live nationwide. Know your postcode: postcode.gov.ng Proud to lead the team building infrastructure that puts every Nigerian on the map. My deepest gratitude to President @officialasiwajubat for his vision and support under the Renewed Hope Agenda, and to the Hon. Minister @bosuntijani , whose leadership in building Nigeria’s digital economy made this possible. Thank you to the NIPOST @nipostngn family, our partners, and every Nigerian who joined the exercise . This is national infrastructure built by Nigerians, for Nigerians. #KnowYourPostcode #NIPOST #DigitalPostcode #NigeriaAt66 #DigitalNigeria IndependenceDay

Can we hear the logic and judgement of Bishop Kukah compared to Bishop Onaiyekan's? How Bishop Kukah wisely punctured and corrected the negativity of the Arise TV crew, that has done more damage misinforming, than actually educating Nigerians. So sad for partisan media!

“For mercies, countless as the sand, which daily we receive…” Today, our hearts overflow with gratitude to God for His unfailing faithfulness, abundant grace, and immeasurable mercies. As we celebrate our birthdays today, we give all the glory to the Almighty God for preserving us, strengthening us, and allowing us to witness another year of His goodness. Every milestone is a testament to His covenant, every victory is by His grace, and every breath is a gift from Him. We thank God for His love, for His Church, and for every life He has enabled us to impact. Our prayer is that He will continue to use us for His glory, grant us greater strength for the work of the Kingdom, and cause His light to shine ever brighter through our lives. To God alone be all the glory. #GratefulHearts #BirthdayThanksgiving #CountlessMercies #ToGodBeTheGlory #theolukoyas dkolukoya folashadeolukoya

Lionel Messi's first match against England ends up with him setting up the goals that send Argentina into their second consecutive men's World Cup final. Even at 39, he can still bend games to his will against anyone, anytime, anywhere. Argentina will defend their crown against Spain on Sunday.

Spain reached the 2026 World Cup final - their first since winning it in 2010 - after a comprehensive 2-0 victory over France in Dallas. Goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro earn the European champions a place in the final against either England or Argentina. Masterclass
