There will come a time when we, the SARS2 aware, get blamed for all the ill health. It will be “well if you knew, why didn’t you say anything?”. We tried, we really did, and we wore respirators all the time, you could see. Nearly 400,000 papers here: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/research/co…

I could stare at Staple Inn all day. This is a very familiar sight to many Londoners. The current timber-framed façade of Staple Inn was constructed in 1585, making the core historic structure 441 years old as of 2026. The great fire of 1666 didn't reach it, it was heavily repaired after WW2 bombing, and has outlasted many buildings that have since come and gone. I'd rather our buildings had character than symetrical perfection. Well, in reality, we could have both. But that would contradict the desires of modern architects and those directing them. ⏳️

Come on. The French have literally weaponized mini salami snack packs. The machine gun even comes with a crew of beret-wearing Frenchmen.
The European mind cannot comprehend the NFL t shirt gun, live from Stade de France.

"It seems to me that a decision has been made to replace doctors and to remove distinctions between doctors and other professions. It's no coincidence that the NHS continues to struggle with efficiency, productivity, and safety problems while we progress further towards a blended workforce without the necessary training supervision or regulation." I’ve heard enough. @BMA_GP @rcgp what are you doing about this ?
Most of the visits in my PCN are done by PAs and paramedics . One Pa suggested stopping diuretics and patients was admitted with fluid overload and died a few weeks later. I’ve raise it as a significant event but the GP partners are clinically responsible so nothing happens.

The ninth annual 24H de l'Accordéon festival is underway in Toulouse, France 🇫🇷, running continuously through Sunday evening. In a world roiled by turmoil, cynicism and strife, a much-needed moment of peace, love, and harmony. All the feels. 🙏🏼🌍🕊️ 📹 Les Rustines de l'Ange

Best anecdote in Carol Thatcher's book about her father is when Sir Denis boarded a train at Paddington in which the only empty compartment was reserved for Rosewood Psychiatric Hospital. Denis travelled alone and in comfort as far as Reading when "all these chaps piled in", accompanied by a male nurse, who counted them before the train moved off. 'One, two, three, four ... who are you?" "I'm the Prime Minister's husband." "Six, seven, eight, nine..."

What’s the point @BarnsleyHF Apparently GPs are being forced to use this service due to pressures in the system. The PCN believes that 6 PAs though ARRS is better value for money than 2 GPs.
I’m getting DMs from Barnsley GPs telling me that they don’t trust the PA’s assessments and requests for treatment, therefore they rarely use the home visiting service . #Barnsley GPs and patients DM me . Tell me what is going on please. @HealthCareBNSLY @BarnsleyHF

The 170 year old Argyle Street Ash Tree in Glasgow had pretty much a full crown of foliage yesterday, but now stands naked and leafless after last night's wind. Other than that it seems unharmed, which is always a relief after any storm. #glasgow #argylestreet #stormboelo #tree

This is playing with fire. Minks and ferrets have such humanlike lung cells that they’re the standard for testing human flu transmission. (Cows aren’t!) An H5N1 epidemic raging in a mink farm is basically the plot for Dr. Evil tries to spark a pandemic. Luck isn’t a plan.
Here’s something you should know about minks: They have lungs and airways remarkably similar on a cellular level to those of people. They’ve spread flus and infected humans before with COVID-19. Right now, bird flu is spreading on a Utah farm filled with thousands of them… 🧵

anyone working outside their competence based on their training- is a quack. I would be one if I tried doing a session as a physiotherapist. Or a GP. Or a Podiatrist. Hope that helps. Be more worried about safety & death than my tweets.

Anyone working outside their competence based on their training - is a quack . Well said @parthaskar If I tried to work a shift as a nurse or an FY1 Dr , I’d be a quack too. Why do others think that it’s ok to work as a Dr substitute without MBBS & PG training & exams?

As the local councillor for Maryhill, I was out in my ward this morning responding to damage and disruption caused by the stormy weather. I personally cleared more than 30 drains and reopened three roads to traffic: 📍 Kelvindale Road 📍 Shuskin Drive 📍 Arrochar Road, in front of John Paul Academy I also removed fallen trees and branches from pavements and roads to help keep routes clear for residents. I am also aware of flooding at the end of Maryhill Road, which has made it almost impassable. This has been reported, and I hope it will be addressed as soon as possible. Please take care, check conditions before travelling, and follow official advice throughout the weekend. Stay safe and look out for one another. #Maryhill #CommunitySafety

The Queen’s Tower at Imperial College has stood in South Kensington since 1897 In 2022 it went behind scaffolding Full stonemasonry restoration, new copper dome, and every surface examined.
