When we're setting goals for a change/improvement project, the standard advice is to think "SMART" (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-based). @artpetty says it's time to move on from SMART goals: we need goals that are 1) learning-orientated (we can only achieve our improvement goals through learning) and 2) impactful (for people who use our services, for our organisations and for our population): artpetty.com/2023/06/25/its-…

If everyone who has been grateful for the NHS over the past 75 years followed and retweeted we’d reach a million by midnight.

Today is the 75th anniversary of the NHS & @hcwomenleaders is asking us all to celebrate the remarkable women who are/have been the backbone of the NHS. My first nomination is my mum Beryl Bevan who was an NHS Domestic Assistant. My mum taught me so much about NHS values: love, care, teamwork & hard work. Between us, my mum & I have notched up 62 years working for the NHS. Please nominate your inspiring NHS women today with the hashtag #NHS75Women.

TLDL: Findings highlight perceived control as crucial factor in whether worries about falling are protective or maladaptive. Clinicians should assess the presence of worry and whether the subject of worry (ie injurious fall) is perceived as controllable.

We developed a new conceptual model that describes the development and consequences of worries about falling in older people. Highlights the importance of considering an individual’s perception of control before deciding to clinically intervene to reduce worries about falling.7/7
