Got a kid who is a #pickyeater? I do! And it is TOUGH! But, thankfully, @kdahlsgaard is here to help us learn how to help our picky eaters eat, well, more! Here's our interview: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
For those who have asked at #AAAAI22 about our newly published SOFAA - Scale of Food Allergy Anxiety - it’s free for clinicians & researchers to download at chop.edu/SOFAA #foodallergy #Anxiety
Delighted to share the publication of the validation study of our SOFAA - the Scale of Food Allergy Anxiety for children aged 8-18 in @JACIInPractice #foodallergy #anxiety @ChildrensPhila
And thank you @CBSDSchools for having me come to speak during your Valentine’s PD day - wonderful teachers! Teachers are Warriors for Hope!
Every time I hear @kdahlsgaard speak I feel inspired, excited and most important, full of HOPE! Thank you @CBSDSchools for a timely and necessary PD day!
With members of our military after the honor of speaking about #hope at the @CBSDSchools second annual community breakfast. Thanks for your service to the country. And thanks to Superintendent @john_kopicki for bringing me out.

I was just tweeting about the best way to help overly #anxious patients improve their ability for accurate risk assessment. Here’s another example. #cbtworks inquirer.com/health/expert-o… via @phillyinquirer

This is so important for families w #foodallergy! The anxiety from perceived risk in various situations often greatly exceeds the actual risk for ANY reaction, let alone a severe reaction.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is one path towards reclaiming control of these thoughts.
Mom Chelsey Bode had anxiety after realizing the men next to her were chowing down the one thing that could send her son into a horrid anaphylactic shock.. How would you tell someone not to eat something the facility is selling? #anaphylaxis #foodallergies
“Remember the 3 Bs: Be Boring about Barf” was my main contribution to this funny & meticulously researched article by @MarnieHanel who told me I said “barf” or “vomit” 85 times (!) during our interview. #exposuretherapy @ChildrensPhila parenting.nytimes.com/childr…

I vow to spend the month upping my game on modeling accurate risk assessment for my patients. And lots of in-session exposures to dog licks are coming my way, I can tell. Which I’m looking forward to, of course. apple.news/AjgOYA98jSAWwJQ-N…
For the record, I am laughing, not screaming, at this delightful child. BECAUSE HE IS SHOWING OFF HOW HE NOW EATS STEAK LIKE A BOSS!!!!!
For families with #pickyeaters, dinner time can be a nightmare. Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard, Clinical Director of our #Anxiety Behaviors Clinic, spoke with @CBSPhilly about new ways families can treat their picky eaters at home: cbsloc.al/36Q2Dfl
My research showing that parents became highly successful #exposuretherapy coaches for their children’s #pickyeating #ARFID in just 7 parents-only group sessions. Adorable kid and brilliant mom! Thank you @StahlCBS3 @ChildrensPhila philadelphia.cbslocal.com/?p…
Horrifying and another reminder that #anorexia is too often the result of enforced malnutrition. See also @joanryan “Little Girls in Pretty Boxes.” #FBT is the evidence-based treatment. So admire Mary Cain for stepping forward to tell us her story. nyti.ms/2PQHCLH
About to answer this question as part of #anxiety and #foodallergy Parent Education Night. There’s another one on December 5th; you can pre-register now. @ChildrensPhila chop.edu/events/parent-educa…
Worry is considered the “cognitive component” of #anxiety but I prefer to call it out as “painful daydreams.” Much more apt. Thanks to all the @palisdPATCH parents who came to hear about all things #exposuretherapy
