This really just happened. Trump signed an executive order saying no one in the future can make major modifications to the Oval Office or Cabinet Room without Congressional Approval. This comes after he literally tore apart an entire wing of the White House without Congressional approval.

BREAKING: SWEET KARMA! Democrat Scott Colom, who is about to win the Mississippi Senate seat, only ran after his MAGA opponent stopped him from obtaining a lifetime federal judge position! This is one of the most glorious backfires in American history... Back in November of 2022, President Biden nominated Colom to the federal district court in northern Mississippi. He received support from the state's senior senator, Republican Roger Wicker. But Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, who Colom is now leading by 1,764 in the vote count from Tuesday, refused to support the nomination. In fact, she blocked the Senate from even considering him by withholding her blue slip, an old Senate custom that lets one home-state senator veto a judge. She defended her indefensible move by insisting that he couldn't be trusted with such power because of past support for transgender rights. In reality, she was just pandering to the racist MAGA base by blocking a Black Democrat. But if she hadn't blocked him, Colom would be a judge right now. Instead, he's poised to take Hyde-Smith's seat, flipping a seat that a Democrat hasn't been able to win since 1972 in a state that handed Trump 61% of its vote in 2024. While the race has not yet been called, if Colom maintains this lead, as he seems likely to do, the seat is his. Please ❤️ and share if you can't wait to see Colom in the Senate!

Ossoff won his senate seat with one of the largest margin of victory of any democrats. Time to make him the face of the Democratic Party, the young and energetic, not the old and tired. Ossoff for Senate majority leader! I’m calling it.

BREAKING: “THIS IS MUCH DEEPER THAN ANYONE THINKS!” Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy warns that Republicans' midterm disaster has handed Democrats control of EVERY presidential swing state's governorship – giving them an astronomical advantage heading into 2028! Most of the attention has focused on Democrats taking back the House and Senate, but McCarthy pointed to something potentially even more consequential: Democrats now control a majority of America's governorships for the first time since 2010 – including EVERY major presidential swing state. “What is extraordinary,” McCarthy told Fox News, is not just the House and the Senate – it's the governorships.” Democrats will hold at least 28 governorships, having flipped Republican-held seats in Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Iowa and Nevada. And they'll also control the governor's office in the seven states that could be central to the next presidential contest: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. That matters a lot because governors wield enormous influence over state policy, election administration and the political organizations that help candidates compete statewide. Democrats will enter the next presidential cycle with a powerful network of governors in the very states where presidential campaigns concentrate their resources. What’s more, Democrats have also made sweeping gains in state legislatures, breaking Republican control in states where the GOP had dominated for years. “This went very deep,” McCarthy admitted. “It's going to take time to build back.” There's a rich irony in hearing this from McCarthy, who rushed to Mar-a-Lago to kiss Trump's ring just weeks after the January 6 insurrection, helping restore the disgraced former president's standing. Now he's explaining just how profound the party's electoral losses really are. McCarthy is right about one thing: This victory goes far beyond Washington and Democrats just got a powerful head start on 2028. RIP MAGA.

Out here worried about trump vetoing everything Dems pass when all Dems need to do is send Abdul El-Sayed to the White House in a tight pants and shirt to meet with trump for 2 seconds and that man will not remember what a veto is.

Texas Republicans gerrymandered the map to gain FIVE seats and ended up with a net LOSS of one. You magnificent map-fucking morons. You moved the goalposts and still kicked yourselves in the dick. This much schadenfreude could power the Texas grid.

Agreed.
Agree with Alyssa here. If you don’t think he is still capable of great destruction, you haven’t been paying attention.

Congrats
For the first time in 145 years, Mississippi will be represented by an African American in the U.S. Senate. Congratulations to Senator-Elect Scott Colom. History made. 🇺🇸

BREAKING: SUSPECT! Pete Hegseth's wife under ethics SCRUTINY over consulting payments tied to a major Pentagon contractor. While Pete Hegseth runs the Pentagon (poorly, we must say), his wife reportedly has a front-row seat to all he does, and she’s been collecting consulting money from a firm that works for one of its biggest contractors. According to POLITICO, Jennifer Hegseth disclosed that she was paid for consulting by Watchtower Strategy, an influential Trump-aligned public affairs firm. One of Watchtower’s clients is Lockheed Martin. Public records show the federal government paid Lockheed more than $66 billion during the fiscal year she was paid. This wouldn’t matter much if she were just a Cabinet spouse staying out of her husband’s work. She isn’t. The Daily Beast describes her as an unofficial adviser to her husband who has embedded herself in daily Defense Department operations. The New York Times reported that in late 2024, before his confirmation hearing, she attended closed-door meetings with Republican senators and sat in on interviews with people who wanted jobs under him. Some senior officials and politicians told the Times her closeness to sensitive defense conversations was “not normal.” There’s a family connection too. Her father was a Lockheed Martin executive. He died in 2009. The Pentagon says everything is fine. They would, wouldn’t they? Spokesperson Sean Parnell said the couple is “in full compliance with all ethics laws and regulations.” He called any suggestion otherwise “ridiculous slander.” He also said the department works to “ensure senior leaders are completely screened” from private interests. He did not say whether Jennifer has been screened for a security clearance, which is a strange thing to leave out about someone sitting in on Pentagon business. A spokesperson for Watchtower told POLITICO that “it should be no surprise” a public affairs firm would want to work with a former Fox News star producer. The reporting doesn’t show that the money influenced any Pentagon decision, and it doesn’t say how much she was paid. But it doesn’t need to. Conflict-of-interest rules exist to prevent exactly this situation: a defense contractor’s consultants paying someone with a direct line to the defense secretary. It’s also part of a pattern under Hegseth. His department just handed a no-bid extension to Raytheon, a company that admitted defrauding taxpayers. It paid $533 million for an artillery plant that produced no shells. And it spends its energy chasing generals over supposed leaks instead of chasing contractors over fraud. Jennifer Hegseth said on a podcast that once her husband got the job, “We were ready to serve in any capacity.” Apparently, that includes on a consulting payroll. With Democrats about to hold subpoena power, the Hegseths may soon have to explain all of this under oath. Whether it will be before or after Pete Hegseth faces an impeachment motion remains to be seen. Please like and share if you think that this is all too fishy to accept Hegseth’s denials!

🚨🇺🇸 The White House met Wednesday morning to get everyone on the same page after the midterms... Vance left the meeting and wrote his own Per a source talking to Fox, the plan coming out of the morning huddle was one administration-wide story about the loss. What the public got instead was the vice president, on X, saying the war did it and that Republicans have to rethink Israel. By afternoon Trump was calling the post “largely true,” which spares him a fight with his own deputy but confirms the deputy is now speaking for himself. Vance has spent two years as the most loyal man in the building. Breaking script on day one of the aftermath, aimed at the voters who feel the war betrayed them, is the behavior of someone who thinks the next election is already under way and that the West Wing talking points are no longer the ones that matter.
