Really disappointed with @United Airlines on my quick trip to Charleston, SC for a conference. They broke BOTH of my bags on the way out here — mine & my service dog’s crate, then charged me $50 for his crate on the way home. 1/
I’ve flown 20-25 times with my SD, & not once have I paid for his crate because it is a necessary piece of equipment so I can travel with my disability. @United, do better. #serviceanimals #travel #livingwithdisability #badflyingexperience

Let me state this in a way that makes sense:
- If anyone pays out of pocket and waits for refunds for conferences it’s me. I’m paying for trainees to go and waiting for refund.
Students and postdocs don’t need any more debt.

100%. Kids learn all day, then are expected to do hours more homework once they get home. This is more than most jobs require. Children learn as much from play as they do from their teachers.
