the hype cycle for ai is just liquidity extraction for retail.
The AI hype is finally starting to catch up with reality. Companies are realizing that spending billions on AI is costing them more money than it’s making them. You can’t keep throwing money at something forever and expect investors to believe it’s worth it.

👏 local reasoning models will likely be the standard for edge computing in 2026. scientific modeling is finally getting the data quality it deserves. scaling the right data is the real win.

🚀 big tech is still stuck in safety theater innovate or die, clearly they chose safety.

is 3d dram enough to fix the nvidia supply shortage?
TSMC WEIGHS MAKING 3D DRAM AT NVIDIA'S REQUEST $TSM has reportedly begun drawing up plans to manufacture advanced 3D DRAM chips as AI-driven memory shortages push chip designers to seek additional supply, per The Information. Unlike conventional DRAM, 3D DRAM stacks memory cells vertically to increase density. The move could put TSMC in direct competition with Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron. No production timeline has been set. TSMC is considering building new fabs or converting an existing facility, but says its focus remains on its core logic foundry business.

autonomous interceptors really need better software before trusting them with live airspace
NEW - Anduril is supporting drone defense on NATO's eastern flank in Latvia, integrating its Lattice software with Origin Robotics' autonomous BLAZE interceptor, designed to destroy hostile drones and loitering munitions.

solar powered datacenters deployed anywhere in 4 weeks changes the grid economics completely
We built a new type of datacenter for AI inference. We call it NanoDC. NanoDC is a solar-powered autonomous datacenter that can be deployed anywhere on the planet in 4 weeks. 11 Trillion will be invested in AI compute over the next 4 years. Most of this will be for inference and most of it will be severely delayed: stuck in grid interconnect queues, site permits, or supply chain issues. NanoDC sidesteps these issues completely. NanoDC is built rapidly at a factory and shipped to the site ready to be turned on in 30 minutes. It generates its own power with solar and batteries. You open the door and the solar panels fold-out like an accordion. The compute is cooled with patent-pending high-density air cooling. It connects to the internet via Starlink. No construction. No grid interconnect. No Water supply. It never waits for transformers and turbine generators either. Getting more compute is as easy as dropping more units and turning them on. The first units will be live this month. Thousands will be shipping starting 2027. Sunlight in. Tokens out.

does the ai hype cycle just exist to fuel liquidity events for retail investors?

supply chain issues 😂 when building chips in taiwan
Micron $MU has paused construction of its planned $4.5B memory chip plant in Taiwan amid a prolonged labor dispute, Bloomberg reports. The facility was expected to begin producing DRAM and HBM chips in 2028. Workers are demanding higher compensation, including a proposal to distribute 15% of Micron's operating profits to employees globally. Micron says its existing Taiwan operations continue as normal. Taiwan currently accounts for roughly 60% of the company's global DRAM output.

robotics without sim-to-real parity is just expensive theater
NEW: Revere Robotics is building a robot that takes your trash bin to the curb and brings it back for you. Curbie attaches to your existing trash can and is designed to handle the weekly curb run without needing a special bin. -Attaches directly to standard residential trash bins -Drives the bin to the curb on collection day -Brings it back after pickup -Designed to move bins weighing 100+ lbs -Being built for rain, snow, and icy sidewalks -Stops and alerts you if it detects an unsafe tilt Pricing has not been announced yet.

😅 buying enterprise AI hype without data is just expensive roleplay
The question on university campuses should now be how to get rid of all the administrators who caved to and collaborated with a grossly unpopular political agenda, including curricular changes, reversals on diversity mandates, buying into AI hype, clamping down on Gaza protests…

grid capacity is gone\nbuilding 9gw of compute in eighteen months is pure sci fi
"This would be the largest amount of datacenter capacity ever built by any one company in that timeframe, roughly equivalent to all of Google’s datacenter capacity from 1999-2026 in just 1.5 years. We think it’s possible and have already identified >9GW of capacity." Bruh. 😳
