Taoiseach referencing the different sources of methane outside of agriculture when asked why only a 10% reduction in ag methane in Ireland, despite signing up to 30% global target.
Except over 90% of methane in Ireland comes from the ag sector through livestock…

Some people have asked how we can be sure emissions won’t fall by 4.8 per cent next year…current projections are for slight increase in 2022, that is based on existing measure in 2019 climate action plan, which are locked in for 2022 through recent budget.
Absolutely no water refilling stations @DublinAirport - want to multiple cafes and they said they couldn’t refill. The only option is to buy single-use plastic. Plz address this 🙏

Thanks to Brexit and incompetence, Boris Johnson is doing more to protect the living world than he ever intended. Less fossil fuel sold, less freight on the roads, less supply, less consumption.
It's not how anyone wanted it to happen, but it takes us in the right direction.
1. Tree planting is crucial to empower local communities in the fight against climate change but the Irish govt only gave €1.4M for Woodland Support Projects in 2021.
In contrast, the govt spent €2.4 billion in fossil fuel subsidies in 2019.
2. In Uganda, the last Saturday of every month is called "Umuganda" - rough translation "coming together in common purpose" - Ugandans come together and clean up public areas and do community service for a common purpose.
