A security fix to patch the identified vulnerability from October 23rd has been drafted and is currently under audit with security partners.
Once the audits are completed, we will provide concrete plans for restoring the backing of affected assets and the orderly restart of the Initia L1 and Rollup networks.
We expect to complete this process in the coming days.
Thank you for your patience, and please remain cautious of unofficial links, messages, or claims.
At 14:59 UTC on October 23rd, an attacker exploited a bug in Initia MoveVM’s script caching that allowed malicious code to bypass security checks. The attacker artificially spoofed the MoveVM state, thereby crediting themselves with unbacked WETH, iUSD, and USDC tokens without changing the corresponding token’s total supply. No native INIT was minted, and the total INIT supply is unaffected.
Before the network was halted, the attacker bridged out roughly $2.7M, comprising of 105 WETH and ~1.4M AUSD0 via LayerZero along with ~1.08M USDC via Noble and CCTP. The tokens were swapped for 1,135.52 ETH and currently sit in 0x358ef0130f7a5aa516dcd81bdc80b18cde41cac8 on Ethereum Mainnet.
We are actively working on a security fix to patch the identified vulnerability. We expect this to be completed and audited in a few days. Additionally, asset recovery efforts are ongoing with the help of security partners.
The Initia L1 and Rollups remain halted as we work toward a resolution. We hope to safely resume network operations as soon as possible and will provide a full post-mortem once available. In the meantime, we will continue to share verified updates through our official channels.
Please remain cautious of unofficial links, messages, or claims.

to the best of our knowledge so far, this is a Day 0 bug related to Initia's MoveVM on CosmosSDK that allowed the exploiter to mint additional tokens on the Initia L1 but does not apply to native INIT tokens.
the attacker was able to mint and bridge out ~$2.7m worth of AUSD, ETH, and USDC before the chain was paused.
As of Oct 23, 2026, 3:41:30 PM UTC, the Initia L1 and Rollups have been halted due to a security incident.
Our team is actively investigating the situation and working to establish the full scope of any impact with security teams, validators, and exchanges.
We will share verified information through our official channels as it becomes available.
Please remain cautious of unofficial links, messages, or claims circulating during this time.

Yominet is the largest briber on @CabalFDN this epoch
Why?
Because this bribe of $1670 translates to ~$20k in esINIT awards for our players. That's 12x leverage. We get to crank up emissions in Kamigotchi World on @initia's (token) tab
So we're making it rain. We getting $INIT
yominet has increased its VIP commission on @initia from 10 -> 20%
why? because we are going to turn around and use it all to bribe for more votes and get our users more initia:native
this is part of our ongoing effort to reward our users and support Kamigotchi World's economy

Opinion : Web3 games aren't fun if they don't make money
This doesn’t only apply to games.
Even with TCGs, the moment that brings the most joy and the biggest dopamine hit is when a high-value card comes out of a pack.
The era of playing games purely for fun is long gone.
This isn’t limited to Web3. Even in Web2 games today, many people start playing after calculating the value of items and the potential earnings they can generate (not just mobile games, but PC MMORPGs as well).
In my case too, if there’s no profit, I don’t even try to take interest. Only when there’s profit do communities become interested. That’s how players gather, guilds are formed, and people combine their ideas to build strategies and playstyles.
Can we really play games purely for fun, without thinking about value, like we did when we first played games as kids?
I think the answer is NO.
For me, the real enjoyment in games comes from researching strategies together with community members and playing according to those strategies.
The most satisfying moment is when everything goes as planned and generates significant profits.
What about you?
Can you still enjoy playing Web3 games even if there’s no profit?

Replying to @schmosby_xbt
hi mr. mosby,
the initia team has been running an experiment -> incubate -> scale playbook across a few categories both in crypto and AI
Claude has made the "experiment" step much faster, so we've built tons of MVPs and scrapped many
if we like something, we move to "incubate". we put together a team to build out the business, typically a mix between initia contributors and external folks who have a particular passion or strength for that business
some of the public incubations:
@TradeOnStrat: full-stack prop trading, best terms in the market
@init_ai: undisclosed humanoid project
@GlyphUniverseAI: write a prompt to fight others
@usebetbot: bet on tickers on the TL
along with a handful more that remain [redacted]
now all of these are relatively new, having been launched just a month or so ago. Yet some of them are showing signs of traction from metrics and user feedback.
for those that do (like Strat) we now begin the arduous task of "scaling" the business aided by our treasury
you might notice, not all of these are appchains... we still believe they lead to highest value capture but have drawbacks on distribution if you don't have it already
Each incubation has a path to using initia infra if certain metrics are hit and all of them will have a portion of rev flow back to initia.
in terms of the core initia infra business line, we continue to make product improvements, will have some tokenomics updates, and have a couple more onchain game clients coming online
ultimately, I believe dogfooding the infra through incubations yields the highest chance of winning overall, so that's where we're focused
Can an AI agent enter a live multiplayer world, keep playing for days, and learn from what happens?
I built KamiBench to study continual learning in that setting. Here are eight days of one agent's play in 60 seconds: 82 sessions, with notes carried between them. (1/10)🧵

for the past month @TradeOnStrat has been busy shipping trader requests:
- profit split: 80% → 90%
- max drawdown: 4% → 6%
- min order size: 400 → 50
- activity requirement: 1 trade every 24h → every 7d
- 24/5 stock trading
- multi tp/sl
- bulk position closing

Kami is back. Tell your friends.
It's been taken over in a people's uprising. And we are once again shipping. As our first order of business, we present to you our first landing page.
That's right. After 3 years of active development we've done it.

Initia remains an application’s final destination but the path to get there has changed.
Over the past months we've re-oriented the team's efforts towards building first-party applications (who could have guessed!).
These range from full-scale products to onchain social experiments to robotics and also include a few incubations that mix internal and external contributors.
Earlier in the year when the market we built for rapidly shrunk, we got CCd and continued down the wrong path. The ~ motion ~ needed to be restored. Now tenacity is up 100% and we have 8️⃣ in-development projects (all of which I expect to launch before EOY, starting with the first next week). Some of these will work and some might not and that's ok because we we will keep trying to win.
I still believe apps will look to vertically integrate and capture net new revenue through their own chains. It has never mattered less which chain your app is on due to rapidly improving onboarding experiences (see: fomo, polymarket, robinhood). Yet the sheer number of apps that could take advantage of the benefits of this approach has dwindled and many continue to reduce the components that live onchain which in turn reduces sequencer revenue.
The Initia infrastructure business remains active and continues to be improved upon (fiat onramps and fast deposits launch this month!) but the majority of our efforts lie in building out new business lines that can generate revenue, obtain users, and eventually graduate to initia’s infrastructure once they hit certain milestones or reach a certain scale.
All of these businesses will direct revenue to INIT and you can expect more updates on buybacks, emissions, branding, and product launches over the next weeks.
scaling and stacking,
zonathan

we've been quiet at @initia for the past months cuz we're a late game scaling champ and just got boots and refillables
the market we built for didn't materialize but we haven't adjusted our beliefs, we have instead adjusted our strategy to success
more to share next week!

Apps should own more of the value they create. The users they bring, the activity they generate, and the transactions they power should compound back into the app itself.
That’s what @Initia is built for: full-stack appchains where builders get control over their product, user experience, and economics from day one.
Builders can launch with EVM, MoveVM, or CosmWasm, while apps stay connected through native interoperability and smoother onboarding with one-click deposits, social login, ghost wallets, and more.
With Stork, Initia apps get low-latency, high-frequency price feeds onchain to build markets users can trust. 🤝
A strange thing happened in crypto.
We built an industry around the idea of ownership, yet many apps don't fully own the value they create.
Apps bring the users.
Apps create the activity.
Apps generate the transactions.
Apps spend resources refining their product and community.
Yet on most shared infrastructure, much of the value they create flows elsewhere.
For years, the conversation around crypto infra has focused on what's best for the chain, rather than what's best for the app.
We think that's backwards.
The most successful apps should have more control over their economics, more flexibility over the user experience, and they should be able to grow without constantly fighting against the limitations of their infrastructure.
People use Hyperliquid because they want to trade.
People use Polymarket because they want to make predictions.
At the end of the day, product is what matters.
So the apps generating the activity should capture more of the value they create.
That's the philosophy behind Initia.
Build around the app.
Help apps keep more of the value they create.
Give builders more control over economics and user experience.
If users win, apps win.
If apps win, Initia wins.
Everything starts there.
