The days when hard work and earning an honest living were enough to build a better life seem long gone.
These days, getting ahead feels less about effort and integrity and more about scamming your way to wealth, gambling on financial markets, or marrying into money. Hard work no longer seems to guarantee upward mobility.
A Jumbo Jack combo at Jack in the Box is now $11.31.
And this is supposed to one of the cheapest meals you can get in America. Seriously how can Americans afford to survive
"US troops in S. Korea must be ready for missions beyond peninsula, commander says"
This could put South Korea at risk of becoming a military target if the US enters a conflict with China or Russia, even if Seoul neither supports nor participates in that war.
Does it makes sense that Korea bears the consequences of conflicts it never chose to enter?

I'm not against immigration. I believe successful immigration requires three things:
1. A willingness to respect the host country's laws and social norms.
2. Economic opportunities for both newcomers and existing residents.
3. Adequate infrastructure and support to help immigrants integrate.
Without these conditions, we risk social isolation, economic pressure, and growing resentment on both sides.
That's why I favor well-managed, sustainable LIMITED immigration over large-scale migration that outpaces a country's capacity to integrate newcomers. Immigration should benefit both immigrants and the communities welcoming them.
Australia cannot afford to repeat the mistake of mass migration which is tearing apart Europe.
Countries like France, Germany, Belgium and the U.K. are all suffering because of mass migration.
Unless Australia stops importing people who reject our democracy, our way of life and the values of Western civilisation, these riots will eventually be coming to Australian cities.
Mercedes-Benz seems to have taken inspiration from Mazinger Z for its new design language. But of all the robots to draw inspiration from, why did they end up with Boss Borot, the goofy comic relief?
Seems pretty obvious that Katie Zacharia was used to divert media and public attention from Kimberly Guilfoyle. See how all the gossip shifted to Katie, despite her being the one who announced Kimberly's ousting.
Pray for America 🙏

Ironically, despite South Korea being far wealthier today, some aspects of life may have been more affordable for ordinary families in 1990. A single income could more realistically cover housing, education, food, healthcare, and even allow for savings.
While living standards have improved in many respects, GDP per capita alone doesn't necessarily capture financial security, affordability, or overall quality of life.
There was a time when Britney Spears was every guy’s dream girl, politicians seemed to care about their constituents, life was affordable, and ordinary savings could get you to retirement at 60.
Thirty years later, Britney is the person every guy would run from, politicians answer to donors, and if you want to retire at 60, your best bet is apparently a 3× leveraged semiconductor ETF and lots of prayers.

As much as I think Russian actions on Ukraine are unjustified. I also find it worrisome the way Ukraine is trying to drag down allies into war against Russia.
Nothing is black or white. There's always 50 shades of grey in between
