An update to #Bill212 will remove cycling routes on Bloor, University & Yonge - highlighted in YELLOW on this new map.
These took years to plan & cost millions of tax $ dollars. Removing these lanes will put lives at risk & make traffic congestion worse! #BikeTO @CycleToronto

We know that #bikelanes save lives, but can good data help save #bikelanes?

Twelve bike commuters along Bloor this evening taking up the same amount of road space as two cars. Bikes use finite road space more efficiently than cars. Cars cause congestion because they’re inherently inefficient.
A huge and passionate crowd gathered at Queen's Park to let @fordnation know that bicycle infrastructure saves lives and is a key part of *actually* addressing traffic congestion. More people biking = less people driving. #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli

The momentum of 21st century urbanism inexorably treats road space as shared space for all modes of travel - for much safer, more sustainable, more socially inclusive and more prosperous streets, neighbourhoods & cities; ripping out shared space simply swims against the tide

The Seine river has been depolluted and made swimmable not just for the Olympics but forever. Parisians will be able to cool off in the Seine during hot Parisian summers. What a beautiful legacy for future generations!

Unlike previous Olympics, there won’t be any abandoned equipment after the Games, as most events will be held in temporary stadiums within some of Paris's most iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, or the Grand Palais!

A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It's where the Olympic Torch Bearer & former football superstar uses public transportation. 🇫🇷

100% of the Paris 2024 🇫🇷 Olympics venues will be accessible by bike, public transit, and high-speed rail. The Olympic village (which will serve as public housing after the Games!) is completely car-free and connected to a new massive metro station. Athletes seem to love it!
