The media cycle is an invention of modernity, as is its corollary: the lie that you are obligated to express an opinion about every news item.
There is more legitimate outrage in the world than it is healthy for you to be outraged about. Turn off the spigot and read Books.
Sam Altman needs to accept that if he wants people to accept bad things, he really, really needs to show that there are sufficiently good things in exchange.
And he really, really hasn't done that. No one has. Not for most people.

When your fans decide it's *less* heartbreaking to root for the Browns, something's definitely wrong.
This Cowboys loss to the Cardinals was the breaking point for one fan. He says he's a Marine Veteran named Derek Culver, and has been a fan of the team for 47 years... but is now calling for a nationwide boycott of the team.
He says he's now going to become a Cleveland Browns fan.
He sent this to news stations, national networks, newspapers and more, to make his disdain as publicly known as possible.

Presidential Message on Reformation Day:
From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness. This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Five hundred years ago, William Tyndale — inspired by the work of Martin Luther — advanced the Protestant Reformation’s devotion to Holy Scripture through the publication of the first New Testament printed in English, shaping the language of the Bibles that would fortify the faith and resolve of America’s founding generation.
The Sacred Scriptures helped form the religious convictions that formed our young Nation’s founding ideals of God-given rights and individual liberty, a spiritual inheritance we honor as we continue to reflect on 250 glorious years of American Independence. The Bible remains a cornerstone of our Nation’s character and upholds our steadfast devotion to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Guided by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, my Administration is working to restore the moral and religious foundations that have sustained our Republic for generations. As President, I will always support citizens of faith and defend their place in the public square, honoring the enduring role of our churches in strengthening families, serving communities, and preserving the core values that have anchored us across the centuries.
As Christians across our country unite in faith and fellowship this Reformation Day, I send my heartfelt prayers for a meaningful celebration and encourage each of you to draw renewed strength from God’s Word as we carry forward the blessings of faith and freedom throughout our beloved Nation.

It can’t be overstated how well a normie party would do right now, and how neither side wants to become it.

Quite literally a perfect bye-week for the Giants:
- Gardner Minshew and the Cardinals put up 20 points in the 4th quarter to beat the Cowboys.
- Commanders and Eagles in a poop-off on national television.
- Giants extend their lead on the NFC East.
- Johnathan Taylor might be a Giant in the next couple of days.

The Philadelphia Eagles are a cautionary tale in how far and how fast an NFL team can fall after winning a Super Bowl. The one thing that is worse than suddenly being bottom of the barrel is to enter a period of perpetual mediocrity, like the Cowboys.

A normie conservative party would be dominating now. We’d be seeing wins not seen since Calvin Coolidge was President.
Instead we’re in a world of madness where the only thing keeping each party going is the stupidity of the other side.
