Or even just take a bus to Norwich South and actually focus on doing something for the people who elected him?
Labour MP Clive Lewis claims he was denied access to the West Bank and detained for eight hours. Why didn't he nor any pro-Palestine supporters fly to Iran to stand in solidarity with the Iranian people, brutally murdered by their own regime?  Why didn't they fly to Nigeria to stand in solidarity with the Christians murdered and raped by Islamic militants there?  Labour and the left love to complain about alleged foreign intervention in domestic affairs but can't help but intervene themselves when it concerns their own ideology-driven pet projects. Disgusting double standards in favour of Islam.

Go on the mighty Cod’s. What a night for the club and the town.
Little old Fleetwood Town have took the champions of England to penalties. Oh my Christ, please Fleetwood.

This year alone, more Christians have been killed by Muslims in Nigeria than Gazans in three years of war. Not a single Muslim or pro-Palestinian activist has protested like they do for Gaza. Weird.

Tonight we have another welcome victory for inclusivity.
Our era has produced so many insane headlines that will baffle future historians. Here’s another…

So @henrywinter what’s worse? The “cheats” …or the team that spent broadly the same amount over the same period to play like that? #MCI #MNU
Manchester United unimpressive. Little pace or threat. Nico Paz very impressive. Not only the goal but almost every time he gets the ball he’s a threat to United. Trivia: father Pablo was on the bench in St-Etienne when Argentina knocked Glenn Hoddle’s England out of France 98. More trivia, Hoddle on co-comms in Como. Not trivia: United look a collection of strangers with only a kit in common. So passive. The meek may inherit the earth but they tend not to win football matches. Might as well give some of the kids a chance. #MUFC

Scott McTominey. Ah sorry, I’ve just noticed you meant ‘FOR’ United. I need time.
Name a player who has improved after signing for Manchester United in the last 5 years 👇

Indulging my best Mark Hughes to try and “take positives” from that 1st half, at least our dear friends @OllieHolt22 and @NickHarris can enjoy a night off their beta-blockers watching the extreme display of footballing purity on view #MCIPSG
The TV close-ups of an anguished Pep in the directors box followed by a shot of Maresca on the touchline has a Fergie-Moyes feel about it

So much citric acid. So little Vitamin C.
Yes. If his dad hadn’t died that day he would have had a face to face with Khaldoon at No10, where Khaldoon would have threatened him, the new PM, with withdrawal of UAE funding in the Uk if City were damaged by the charges.

Does ‘holier than thou’ have a ‘best before’ date?
"Get lost! How dare you ruin what's part of our country, our DNA in this country." Ian Holloway had some very strong words when asked about the Man City charges.

Industrial sized p*****. The man who took diving to new levels preaches about “integrity”. :-) If this whole episode surrounding City does nothing else, it puts the public on first name terms with the biggest hypocrites in football.
🚨Michael Owen:“This is no longer just about City.”They’re asking what our integrity is worth. “I feel disappointed. I feel let down as an Englishman and as someone who loves this game. Our country is being tested by this regime, and too many still treat it as only a football story. We have had great clubs in this country. Some stayed at the top. Some fell and fought their way back. That is the game. We did not cut corners to save them. Fight or fall short. That is the standard. This Manchester City case is no longer just about the charges. It is asking whether our laws still mean anything, or whether they bend for money and influence. These people came here, made wealth, avoided tax, and now threaten to walk if the club is punished. That alone should tell government to stand up and protect what this league was built on. I do not envy City. I care about the integrity that keeps the competition honest. We should not let politicians and corporations decide who faces the rules and who does not. Arab investors would not get away with this mess in the United States. They would be dealt with immediately. So why are we taking so long to answer a threat to pull investment if City are punished? City should be dealt with as the law demands. We are British. Our government is strong enough to stand up to pressure. Now is the time to show it.”

The delicious irony of a man failing to take his own advice all wrapped up within a single tweet 😂
🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Pep Guardiola sending Manchester City a supportive message: 🗣️ “I have to say, I’m genuinely surprised by Pep coming out publicly to support Manchester City while all these allegations are hanging over the club. For me, it’s simple: if you don’t have anything sensible to say, keep quiet. You’re one of the greatest managers of your generation, so you should understand the responsibility that comes with speaking publicly about something this serious. If the allegations and findings against City are proven as reported, then football has to come before your personal records, trophies and achievements. You can’t just ignore the bigger picture because you were part of the success. I expected better from Pep. Football is bigger than Manchester City, bigger than any manager and bigger than any collection of medals. If the game has been damaged, you don’t defend the situation—you demand that the truth comes out and the rules are respected.”

For any students out there specializing in any or all of (i) hypocrisy, (ii) self-righteousness, (iii) self delusion or (iv) virtue signalling, some rich (non AI generated) material to work with here. Plagiarism is obviously to be frowned upon but you will do well to improve it
🚨🎙️ Gary Neville on UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s comments about Manchester City: “I find those comments absolutely staggering. At a time when Manchester City have just been found guilty of serious financial rule breaches, the Prime Minister is talking about how concerned he would be if their owners left. What message does that send? Are we now at the stage where money, investment and tax revenue matter more than the integrity of football? Because if that is the message coming from the top, then we have a serious problem. You cannot have one set of rules for the smaller clubs and another set of rules for the biggest and wealthiest clubs. If the rules have been broken, they must be dealt with properly. It doesn't matter how much money the owners have brought into Manchester. And let me be very clear — nobody should be influencing the independent process. The courts, regulators and football authorities must be allowed to do their jobs without political pressure. If Manchester City escape meaningful punishment simply because they are economically important, then forget sporting integrity. Every club in England will ask themselves why they should respect the rules. The Premier League cannot become a competition where the bigger your bank account, the safer you are from consequences. That would destroy the credibility of English football. I think the Prime Minister needs to clarify those comments, because right now they sound like he is more worried about losing Manchester City’s owners than protecting the integrity of the Premier League.”

Christ, if Michael Oliver ever received a payment in the UAE, I demand an immediate and full refund. See, the balance is already below the £900m!
Just a friendly reminder that Michael Oliver and other Premier League refs were allowed to pop over to the UAE referee a few games and pick up undisclosed payments. I guess nothing to see here @premierleague Completely fookin normal. 👀

I knew, if I was patient, I’d finally find something coming out of Lucy Powell’s mouth that I could identify with 😀 We can build from here.
