We have made it to Newcastle 💪
First stop on the BBN national expansion tour and we could not be more excited.
But before tonight's event with @HillDickinson, we made a very important detour.
A visit to BBN members @pumphreyscoffee to see @mentness, get a tour of their coffee roasting facility, film some behind the scenes content and sneak in a podcast.

I can not overstate how great last years bitfest.uk was.
The first #bitcoin conference I had been to in YEARS that felt like the OG conferences I remember. None of the corp crap, just great talks, bitcoiners sharing ideas, building and beer. Psyched its on again 🔥

There are some unbelievable businesses in BBN.
Lots deliver nationwide, and quite a few are experiences.
The bit that annoys me is that they're not easy to find. I want to remove the friction so people can support Bitcoin businesses, whether they accept it or just stack it.
Here's the first look at what the team and I are building for @BitcoinColl. (It's a prototype; Nike don't stack🤣)
I used to love UNiDAYS for student discounts.
Probs cause i'm Scottish and tight!🤣
I'm seeing if I can build a similar thing for @BitcoinColl.
It's very rough at the moment, but I reckon it could be pretty cool. Would only need an email to get the codes.

Never believe that you can't make a difference.
After months of astroturfing Digital ID, trying to sell an unpopular and dangerous policy to a country who saw straight through them, and faced with a united front of opposition from all sides, Labour now seem to be backing down.
This is absolutely good news, and thanks to everyone who wrote to their MP, who stood up to oppose this intrusion into our lives, who relentlessly critiqued the Ministers who pushed this, and who contributed to the public consultation (despite its questionable wording that made it very hard to indicate opposition).
But we must remain vigilant. We know that ever since Tony Blair's government, this policy has come back and back again. We need to be ready for when they revive it, to fight it all over again.
Just for now, let's enjoy this victory though.
