Replying to @morningad
@morningad #BFTWNI @allsoppsbeer @kirkstallbrew The basis of the recipe comes from what Allsoppโ€™s said is the only known surviving Allsoppโ€™s brewing ledger, which was discovered in a pub in Leeds after founder Jamie Allsopp spent almost two years searching for original records from his familyโ€™s brewery. tinyurl.com/4dvjd367

Allsoppโ€™s launches cask IPA based on 200-year-old recipe

Allsoppโ€™s has launched a 4.4% ABV cask IPA inspired by an 1822 recipe discovered in the breweryโ€™s only known surviving brewing ledger.

Excited to be one of the pubs launching the revival of Allsopps IPA this weekend. Brewed to Samuel Allsopps original recipe from 1822 - it became the benchmark for all IPAs that followed. Pop in this weekend and try it Cheers ๐Ÿป

The joy of six! Whatโ€™s your favourite? I was tempted to go for the iconic @Theakston1827 Old Peculier. However, one of my favourite pale ales, @kirkstallbrew Three Swords Extra Pale Ale(4.5%)was a perfect marriage with my delicious turkey&stuffings sandwiches!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
