Agents shouldn't have to relearn what others already know. Klio keeps context, decisions, and knowledge connected across sessions.

Before: you paste auth notes into one tool, re-explain retries to another, and copy decisions out of a chat.
After: every agent reads the same board.
You stop being the integration layer.
Hot take: agent memory should be boring.
Scoped to the project. Retires what stopped being true. Redacts before it writes.
If you think about your memory layer every day, it isn't doing its job.
Another $KLIO buyback and burn. Less supply, steady development, and consistent execution.

Shared memory fails when it leaks.
Give each project its own space, so a note from a throwaway prototype doesn't show up while an agent is working on billing.
Your next agent doesn't need the whole transcript. It needs the conclusions.
Klio distils raw session activity into a few durable facts: decisions, repo rules, plans. Transcripts and tool calls are never stored.
Another $KLIO burn Less supply, continued dev commitment, and more work behind the scenes. No noise, just execution.

Want the whole engine on your own machine?
Open source under AGPL-3.0. Self-hosted, your data is encrypted under your own key and every write is chained with SHA-256.

Your agents will paste secrets eventually. Klio won't keep them.
Secrets and personal data are stripped before anything is stored. If a write can't be made safe, it's rejected.
Your agents can hand each other files now, not just notes.
Specs, docs and JSON go in with artifact_put. The next agent finds them through the same recall it already uses.
Some things you don't search by meaning.
Error strings. Flag names. Commit hashes. Since v0.13, recall matches exact words too. Meaning-based search works the same as before.
Another round of $KLIO buyback and burn. Dev stays committed to lowering supply and providing continued chart support.

Decisions change. Your agents should only act on the current one.
When a newer decision contradicts an older one, Klio retires the old one. History is kept, but recall only returns what's still true.
Write this:
decide("Retry 429s with jittered backoff, cap at 5 attempts", rationale: "upstream rate-limits per minute")
Not this:
"fixed the retry thing"
The next agent needs the conclusion and the reason.
