Referendums we could and should have had instead of leaving EU
1. Abolishing 1st past post system
2. Make offshore tax havens illegal
3. Should we tax land ownership annually on value as we do houses/flats
4. Abolish 2nd jobs for MPs
5. Should we renationalise utilities and public transport
6. Should we abolish public_private schools.
Any other referendums that would have helped improve our country for us Citizens

It’s hard to know which despicable act this govt will be remembered for:
1. Brexit Lies
2. Siphoning of pandemic money
3. 350k dead due to austerity
4. 200k dead to Covid
5. Polluting our water ways
6. Energy profiteering
7. Destroying the NHS
8. Voter suppression…

A few months ago the @metpoliceuk didn't investigate crimes that occurred in the past.
Yesterday, they decided to arrest people for possible crimes in the future.
Replying to @wafu23RN
This isn't f***** Minority Report!
You don't just get to arrest innocent people because you think crimes might happen.
If you have Intel that they're going to commit acts of violence, sure. But carrying a "Not my king" sign isn't exactly a loaded gun.

We now live in a country where people are pre-arrested for crimes officers think that they might commit.
Let that shit sink in.

‘If you chant not my king you’re creating a public nuisance and will be arrested’
That’s what this police officer is saying.
Let’s repeat that; if you chant something interpreted as not in agreement with Govt and therefore police, you’re arrested.
That’s literally fascism.

We live in a grotesquely unequal society that concentrates wealth, status & power in the hands of a few.
Real patriotism is about building a society that cares for each other and cares for all.

Let me just play with numbers for a sec.
£250 million spent on the #coronation.
UK population: 67 million
Poorest quarter: 16 million
➡️£16 quid per person
A fair chunk of their weekly food shop during a poverty crisis.
But stroking the royal baton is worth more apparently.

Tory apologists all seem to be advancing the same straw man argument: how can it be voter suppression if EU countries demand ID to vote?
Simple: those EU countries have compulsory national IDs. By definition, everyone has one. So asking to see it doesn't disenfranchise anyone.

Ranting on Twitter is one thing…
But it won’t get the Tories out
This will though:
It’s the first ever UK website that has up-to-date tactical voting info specifically for the local elections next week
This is your moment
Take it.

Today, Ed Miliband backed kicking Corbyn out of the Labour PLP permanently because of “antisemitism”.
Here is a video from 2013 of Jeremy Corbyn defending Ed Miliband’s father against vile tropes and slurs from the Daily Mail.
No other MP would do so.

I remember seeing news footage of Nigel Farage’s Brexit march consisting of about 30 bellends and a whippet…
But no British news coverage of this incredible strike action from yesterday:

In 2011, Jeremy Clarkson called for striking workers to be "shot in front of their families". He continued to present Top Gear for another four years.

Also the BBC:

Loads of people (and the BBC) kicking off about Gary Lineker's tweets, saying he should be impartial and all that because he's on the BBC, but none of this happens when Alan Sugar goes on one of his tirades

Damning report from the @HumanRightsCtte warning that the Gov’s anti-strikes Bill could breach international human rights law – peers & MPs must resist this unnecessary, heavy-handed bill that puts workers’ right to strike at risk.
