My facebook post on 8/3/24 Today is the day of historic surrender by associations before DFS / IBA In a Five star hotel in Mumbai .And a day they have accepted to surrender .Today is international women's day and in our culture women are a form of Shakti . Today 9 th joint note is being signed one year earlier than the previous joint notes and without even notice of strike and this is being touted as a major achievement but at what cost . not a single major demand of charter of demand has been accepted by team DFS / IBA . 1 Total increase of 17 pc over march 22 pay slip is reasonable but much below our expectations in view of current record profitability of PSB . 2 in COD we demanded basic salary at par with RBI / LiC and central government.reality our new basic will be 40 pc less than RBI / LIC / central government .with pathetic 3 pc loading in existing basic . DFS / IBA won 3 COD demanded merger of special allowance with basic reality around 1100 basis point increase in special allowance. IBA / DFS won 4 COD demanded OPS for all reality no serious discussion on this issue . DFS / IBA won . 5 5 days of work banking MOU signed on 7/12/23 said union / association demanded implementation of 5 days work banking before signing of BPS / Joint note . Reality they are signing it day without implementing 5 days of work banking. And now we are on mercy of government of India regarding date when 5 days of work banking will be implemented . 6 defined working hours Do discussion/ progress at all . 7 pension updation COD demanded pension updation. In reality we are getting ex gratia of paltry few thousands to 7.5 lakh pensioners around 20 pc of them retired prior to nov 2007 getting crums as pensions. In my 39 years of my banking life this is the first time apex level associations have surrendered before DFS / IBA without even putting a semblance of fight .total surrender. These spineless apex level association representatives have made bankers Life miserable with no relief in sight . Stop banking through jugad technology. Yesterday night across the country branch heads were suspended because during incognito visit of Auditors non authorised persons have been found working / present in cash section and on branch computers . We are told that in branches across the country there is a shortage of staff so in order to provide customers service branch heads are compelled to use services of non authorised persons like generator operators recovery agents insurance companies staff PTS sub staff etc for cash handling and CBS transactions by sharing passwords of clerical officers and branch heads . For your own job safety and for your bank financial and reputational interest and safety stop doing so from today itself . This may result in your branch customer service being affected or increased compliance pendency but that does not justify harakiri you people are doing with your job and your bank . A non staff involvement has caused a huge fraud in currency chest saharanpur a sub staff using her branch officers clerical and branch heads password has caused a huge amount of fraud in a branch in noida circle and there are few other examples also . Suspending only the branch heads will not stop this banking through jugad technology if our bank top management is really interested in cleaning up this mess then there is an urgent need to suspend few circle heads who are either accomplice in this crime or are incompetent. And for staff of staff in branches due to mismanagement under which there is excess in few branches and shortage in few others circle heads should be held accountable and for non allocation of required staffs to circles for whatsoever the reasons HO HRD officials and board members of bank should also be held accountable. Unfortunately this never happens and till this happens the rot will continue . While we take up these issues for logical conclusions all federation members are advised by your all India GS please stop banking through JUGAD from today itself and work strictly as per bank guidelines and circulars with zero deviation and if there are verbal orders from your authorities for any deviation ignore that . Protecting your job is more important than fear of transfer. Prefer transfer over losing your job .
