Ever since Roy Moore (AL) the GOP has been plagued with poor candidate quality in many races that seemed inconceivable to lose. Instead of picking the BEST Republican (ie. Cornyn) to beat the Democrat, they're performing a masterclass on how to give away U.S. Senate seats (ie. Paxton in Texas). #mindblowing 🤯
“Paxton’s a poor campaigner,” Cornyn said. “He’s lazy and doesn’t raise money. And he basically is not offering a very compelling case for his election. He’s making this harder than it needs to be. But so be it — we are where we are.” texastribune.org/2026/08/28/…

Happy to see the AZ Border Counties Coalition in @cityofdouglasaz @CochiseCountyAZ! A great visit to see the border first hand!
What a great day with @cityofdouglasaz hosting a delegation from the AZ Border Counties Coalition. So much going on that will impact the entire binational region. Glad they brought comfy shoes as we did a lot of walking! Nothing like seeing trade and tourism in action.

I was born in the great state of Arizona, where I grew up racing motorcycles and exploring the beautiful desert.
Then, I fell for an astronaut.
I’m so grateful to have the love of my life by my side every day, @CaptMarkKelly.
