👨🏾‍🍳🇬🇭: Some of y’all didn’t even want to associate with Azonto until it went global. You embraced “Nigerian-like” sounds, but when Azonto became a “Ghana to the world” moment, suddenly everyone wanted to claim it. And let’s be honest: by many of today’s standards, Azonto might not have been considered “good” music. It may not have stood a chance with some of y’all through the lens you use now. Yet it was unmistakably Ghanaian. It gave us a sound, movement, and cultural identity the world could immediately recognize. 3/5

👨🏾‍🍳🇬🇭: Finally, in a world where marketing increasingly determines what gets heard, celebrated & consumed, we ALSO need to be honest about the difference between what SELLS and what is simply GOOD MUSIC. Commercial success is not always a measure of musical quality. Neither is the absence of it proof that the music isn’t good. Sometimes, the difference between a hit and an overlooked masterpiece isn’t the music. It’s the machinery behind it. Stream a Ghanaian song today. Shalom✌🏾. 5/5. END🧶. 🦅🇬🇭
