whether it’s ct or irl, i think there are always two types of relationships: 1. symbiotic 2. parasitic symbiotic = mutually beneficial ppl add something to your life, and you add something to theirs and that value isn’t always material. it’s subjective. feeling like you belong, getting validation, having someone who actually gets you, that counts too the parasitic kind doesn’t need much explaining :D being a parasite is easier, but truly valuable ppl never operate that way be useful, be genuine, stay curious about ppl. if you’re willing to give, you’ll never run out of friends

I doubt anyone here genuinely thinks everyone on CT is their friend 😭 at the end of the day, it’s still social media but I know there are people here I genuinely feel close to, care about and value a lot so yeah, everyone is here for themselves in some way, but that doesn’t make every connection fake
