MRD Monitoring in Colorectal Cancer Using ctDNA (RezidRAS)
"this clinical study evaluates the use of free circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis from peripheral blood, known as liquid biopsy. The objective is to detect minimal residual disease (MRD) early and to predict disease relapse or progression in patients with colorectal cancer (stages II-IV). By monitoring specific KRAS gene mutations (G12 and G13) using the ddPCR method, the study aims to improve risk stratification and treatment response monitoring following primary therapy."

📈 PFS: 9.8 vs 5.7 mo (HR 0.58)
🔥 OS: ~18 vs 12 mo (HR 0.56)
🎯 ORR: 58.4% vs 32.3%
⚠️ Grade 3–4 TRAEs: 24.6% vs 34.5%
🏆This is clearly practice changing with a much better tolerated drug and fewer side effects ( although still GI toxicity) compared to current standard for this high-risk population.
🤔Still some questions about exclusion of untreated brain mets and low number of adagrasib treated pts in control arm
