I'm starting to like this guy... He’s an unexpected obstacle to Carney’s plan to push Canada into the EU’s arms — and an inconvenient reminder that provinces still have a say. As he puts it... “The federal government has decided to undertake negotiations with the European Union that directly affect Quebec, without consulting Quebec or allowing it a seat at the negotiating table. That’s non-negotiable. Mr Carney himself put it well... ‘If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu.’”

Tomorrow we're releasing a full UATX course for free: all 19 lectures of Professor Isabella Reinhardt's Rise and Fall of Ancient Rome, filmed in class with our students. It runs from Rome's mythical founding to the Third Century Crisis. It ends on a question the class spent a whole session arguing about: did Rome ever really fall?

This journalist is part of the problem with the media - she came with a pre-conceived position that was reflected in her question but she really didn’t know much about the subject & it showed. A triumph of opinion over knowledge that collapsed in the face of the truth.
Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo delivered a masterclass response to a lawyer challenging his decision to end four vaccine mandates. Attorney Simone Chriss claimed it would have a “devastating impact.” This was his response: “I understand you’re not a clinician or a physician.” “Did you say devastating impact?” Chriss: “I did.” Dr. Ladapo: “There are other states in this country that do not mandate three of the vaccines that we’re removing.” “There are many, many countries that don’t mandate any vaccines.” “Canada.” “Australia.” “Denmark.” “Sweden.” “The United Kingdom.” “Many of these countries actually have life expectancies that are longer than this country has.” “It’s actually sort of perverse to think that you could separate parental rights from public health.” “Engaged parents are the reason that children eat healthier diets.” “Engaged parents are the reason that children exercise.” “Engaged parents are the reason that children go to school and learn, which is a huge predictor of future health.” “This idea of a devastating impact, I mean, talk about not supported by evidence.” Florida is refusing to back down from their plan to end mandates for Hep B, chickenpox, Hib, and pneumococcal shots. @FLSurgeonGen @HealthyFla

“The lack of violent crime was shocking,” Superintendent Morris testified October 19, 2022 at the Public Order Emergency Commission. “I mean, even in the arrest and charges considering the whole thing in totality.” “I want to be clear on this,” said Morris. “We produced no intelligence to indicate these individuals would be armed. There has been a lot of hyperbole around that.”

Yesterday I received overwhelming interest in the changes we are not told about to six banks in Canada that will be implementing 'Programmable Digital Currency.' Not to be confused with bitcoin. Since 2020 our Liberal Government has spent $54 billion dollars on “Green initiatives” They gave $26 billion to Ukraine, during the last decade they have spent $11.2 billion dollars overseas on “gender studies” and have spent $44 billion dollars on “development assistance” across several countries. That’s $135 billion dollars on just these 4 things alone. If a Government can give that much money away, we are being taxed too much. To put that number into perspective you could build 20-30 mega hospitals across Canada, or up to 90 Large regional hospitals. With zero accountability comes unimaginable abuse of tax payers money.

Female athletes are speaking out about their concerns over the fairness and safety of having biological males compete in women’s sports. The Liberal Secretary of Sport turns a blind eye to their concerns, dismissing them as a “simply stupid, conservative pseudo fantasy.” Women’s voices continue to be dismissed and ignored, raising the question: when will the Liberals start listening to the women directly affected by these policies?

Bruce Pardy just described something Canadians have been living through so gradually that many have stopped noticing how extraordinary it is. Government now has a say in virtually everything. We are taxed at work, at the store, at the pump and at home. Property increasingly feels less like something you own and more like something you’re permitted to keep—provided you continue paying for the privilege. Then Pardy says it plainly: “Canada has become a grift.” Listen to his argument and then look around. How many layers of government, regulation, taxation, licensing and protected interests now stand between Canadians and the simple business of living their own lives? At what point did we become so accustomed to it that we stopped asking where legitimate government ends and our individual liberty begins? We still call ourselves free. Perhaps it’s worth occasionally taking inventory of how much freedom still belongs to us without permission, a licence, a tax, a fee or the government’s approval. Perhaps the most unsettling thing about Bruce Pardy’s speech isn’t how radical it sounds. It’s how familiar it feels. @PardyBruce

It has come to my attention that I have been denounced by @Advocates_Soc for criticizing judicial decisions — and yes, individual judges. Here's the thing. When someone, for example, spends her lawyerly career writing op-eds in favour of migration and calling herself an activist, and then becomes a federal judge, and from that seat allows all sorts of undesirables to remain in Canada on weak grounds, people are free to draw a connection from A to B. When a judge, for example, spends his lawyer years advocating fiercely for more race-based law, and then later throws out gun charges of black men on his (unsupported) assertion that police were racist during their arrests, people are free to question whether he's really a fair adjudicator. When a judge, for example, says that a ban on drug trafficking is unconstitutional, and then *applauds* vigilante drug dealers for their self-proclaimed safe supply program — applauds them for supporting the business of organized crime and feeding the addictions of street people — that's beyond the pale. You're worried about democracy being poisoned? Worry about the judge who threw out Parliament's law against selling heroin because she felt it was "common sense" that it was supported by science. I agree that it's not right to criticize a judge personally for impartially applying the law and coming to an unpopular decision (which they may even privately disagree with). But when their professional history, or their conduct in court, suggests allegiance to a cause that they happen to be ruling softly on, it will get noticed. Bringing the administration of justice into disrepute is a two-way street, you know.

Total clown show. Mark Carney announces his wife at the UN, who he appointed as Canada's first Ocean Envoy and will Chair the Our Ocean Conference, and $82M for UN ocean monitoring initiatives. Carney's wife, who is unelected, will now have direct policy influence and will work on "ocean conservation and climate action". Just the usual nepotism in the banana republic of Canada.

I have avoided social media for days due to illness, but I cannot stay silent in the face of this absolute heresy, born out of the pits of hell itself! This is not merely an eccentric interpretation of Christianity. It is a profoundly perverse distortion of the biblical witness concerning the person of Jesus Christ. The claim that the Blessed Virgin Mary “assigned Jesus male at birth” fundamentally misrepresents both Scripture and the Christian doctrine of the Incarnation. Mary did not determine, construct, or assign the sex of Christ. Before His conception, the angel Gabriel declared: “You will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” Luke 1:31. Likewise, St Matthew records the angel saying of Mary: “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.” Matthew 1:21. Christ’s identity as the Son is therefore proclaimed before His birth. The language of the Gospel is not that Mary inspected her newborn child and imposed an identity upon Him. Rather, the child conceived by the Holy Spirit is repeatedly and unambiguously identified as the Son. And the assertion that Christ was resurrected as His “true transgender self” is even more extraordinary, because it directly contradicts the resurrection narratives. The risen Christ is the same Jesus who was crucified. He tells Thomas to see His hands and place his hand into His side. He eats with His disciples. He identifies Himself with the body that suffered upon the Cross. Christian orthodoxy confesses not the abandonment of Christ’s created humanity but its resurrection and glorification. As the Nicene Creed declares, the eternal Son “was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man.” The Incarnation is not raw material upon which every contemporary ideology may impose itself. Jesus Christ is not a blank canvas upon which ungodly clergy may paint whatever anthropology happens to be fashionable in their generation. He is the eternal Son of God, incarnate in history, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified under Pontius Pilate, bodily raised from the dead and ascended into glory. A priest is ordained to proclaim that faith, not reinvent its central figure to fit their personal ideology! There is also something seriously pastorally irresponsible about presenting speculation as though it were Christian revelation. People experiencing questions concerning sex or gender deserve compassion, dignity and serious pastoral care. They do not need clergy rewriting the person of Christ in order to validate a modern unbiblical theory. The Church’s answer must be both charitable and truthful. We do not need to demean transgender people in order to say unequivocally that Jesus Christ was not transgender. Scripture gives no warrant whatsoever for that assertion, no matter how much any cleric tries to portray it. Nor did Mary “assign” Jesus anything. She received Him. She bore Him. She named Him according to the command of God. And on Easter morning it was not some newly discovered identity that walked out of the tomb. It was Jesus Christ Himself, the crucified and risen Lord, bearing in His glorified body the wounds of Calvary. Christian ministers are custodians of a faith received, not authors of a faith invented. When clergy begin remaking Christ in the image of contemporary culture, the proper response of the Church is not embarrassed silence. It is to remove that cleric, and return to the apostolic proclamation: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8. Christ does not require updating. The Gospel does not require ideological reconstruction. And the risen Lord does not require us to manufacture an identity for Him that neither Scripture, the Apostles, the Creeds nor the historic Church ever knew. Preach Christ as He has been revealed. Anything else may be fashionable ideology… But it is not, and never will be, the apostolic faith!
Episcopal priestess says Mary assigned Jesus male at birth, but he was trans. And when he was resurrected, he came back as His true, transgender self.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Before his birth, during his life, & after Jesus rose, he was always referred to as a male. Gabriel tells Mary she will bear a son & to name him Jesus (Luke 1:31–32). Woman, behold your son (John 19:26) He said to them… as he was teaching… (John 20). catholic.com/magazine/onlin…

"Opinions are fine. Presenting bullshit as facts is not." On this, we are in complete agreement. Calling a government policy literally described as "mandatory vaccination," non-coercive because nobody was physically held down is an excellent illustration. People lost their jobs, were barred from planes and trains, and depending on the province were excluded from restaurants, gyms and other parts of public life if they refused vaccination. It's horrible that after all these years, there's zero empathy for those who refused to take a vaccine that did zilch to stop the virus from spreading.

No, Bruce. Your paper’s 2021 front page: "Let them die." Your columns: mandate them—they are prolonging the pandemic. You sold a political narrative as fact. Calling an injury-inquiry column "disgraceful" in 2026 shows how little you’ve learned .
This is probably the most disgraceful and deranged piece I have ever seen in a Canadian newspaper, and it's not a low bar
