While I appreciate a £200k salary is rare in Britain
Calling managers in banks & tech companies on PAYE “wealthy” and pulling them in for a face to face is absolutely wild

For those of you who thought the visit from a Bedford Borough Council official to investigate our daughter Zoe’s (age 12) pretend teddy bear cafe was too ridiculous to be real, here is the arrival of official. This is totally legit. She really did show up at our property to investigate the illegal teddy bears having their coffee🧸🧸☕️☕️

Bill Maher nails it on Britain’s welfare addiction here.
“The UK has had seven Prime Ministers in ten years. That’s because no politician can be what the people want: a genius who figures out how to give out endlessly more money with ever less working people.”
Fuck me the way the media are going on you’d have thought it was the St Crispins Day speech from Henry V rather than a pre match press conference
Sympathised with Carrick before today and genuinely felt for him during his monologue. Was in the front row and he made eye contact with those of us sat before him throughout those six minutes. Carrick merits respect for that and if or when he does go, he will go with dignity. He's never hidden (unlike some players and staff), has no issue fronting up and accepts the realities of the situation. There will be more goodwill towards him from matchgoers on Sunday. #mufc

This explains a lot from overbearing advice to ratcheting COVID restrictions

I’m very glad we have our priorities in order as a country
Smart TVs will be forced to power up more slowly under plans to align Britain with the EU’s net zero rules.
The rules would probably mean smart TVs and other devices have to disconnect from WiFi when not in use, slowing down their “wake-up” time when a user switches them on again ⤵️
