Since I woke up this morning, I've taken my time to go through the comments, quotes, and advice people have shared. Trust me, I'm going to take every single piece of advice seriously. However, there's one advice I will not take, and that's people telling me to stay away from politics and focus solely on my business. I think I responded to someone's comment suggesting that we should vote for Peter Obi, and I noticed that quite a number of people dragged me for it. But honestly, why should I be told not to talk about politics and just concentrate on my business? Who do you think put me in the situation I'm currently in? Is it not the government? I shouldn't talk about politics, but politics is talking about me. Do you understand how badly government policies have affected my business and my livelihood? I'm genuinely grateful to everyone who came through for me, but the truth is, I'm still going to bear losses. And who created the economic conditions that contributed to those losses? The government. Let me also address those who believe I made a financial mistake by opening the shop in the first place. Yes, perhaps there were things I could have done differently, but let me give you some context. My shop is strategically located between two major universities in Port Harcourt: the University of Science and Technology (UST) and Ignatius Ajuru University. These institutions have thousands of students. Do you honestly think these students don't want cookies? Why do you think I chose that location in the first place? The idea was simple: students from both universities would make up a significant part of my customer base. Interestingly, since this whole support campaign started, a good number of the people who have shown up to support me are students from these same universities. They have always been my target audience. But the problem is that the economy has destroyed their purchasing power. These students, who ordinarily would patronise my business, are now more concerned about paying school fees, feeding themselves, and meeting their basic needs. And somehow, I'm being told not to talk about politics? You're telling me to focus on my business, post my products, and leave politics alone. But why can't I do both? Why can't I promote my business and also speak about the political leadership and candidate I believe can bring about the change we desperately need? Why shouldn't I advocate for someone I believe can help change the circumstances that have made running a small business this difficult? I was fortunate that my situation gained attention and people rallied around me. But what happens the next time? Will I have to depend on a viral post before I can make meaningful sales? Is that how a business should survive? Absolutely not. I appreciate every single person who has supported me, advised me, encouraged me, and shown me love. I will take the business advice, learn from my mistakes, and make better decisions going forward. But please, don't tell me to stop talking about politics. The economy is affecting my business. Government policies are affecting my customers. The political decisions being made in this country have direct consequences on my livelihood. I cannot separate my business struggles from the politics and economic realities that contribute to them. I have every right to speak about both. PLEASE VOTE PETER OBI!!! ✌️

Took out Lil cash to spread some love ❤️🫰 Drop your Bybit UIDs for $100 each. I’ll keep sending until I’m tired 😂 Unrelated, but did y’all notice how fast that withdrawal from Assexmarkets came through? 🤔
THE AUDIENCE GREW WHILE I WAS FOCUSED ON GETTING BETTER AT MY CRAFT: Grateful for everyone who’s been part of it❤️ ⬜️A word to the young traders here: give yourself time to become a good trader first. Learning to trade while constantly trying to find something to post can leave you struggling with both. Cause you'll start making decisions for the audience before you’ve built confidence in your own process. Build the skill. Get better at explaining what you know. Let your progress give you something worth sharing. As your trading improves and your life changes, you’ll have plenty to document. ⬜️I started posting as a hobby. Chasing followers was never the goal. And I’ve never made a celebration out of follower milestones, even here on X, but people have continued to find and follow my work. Give people something valuable to come back for. You don’t have to force the attention🗣 To show my appreciation, I’m giving $200 each to 5 people💲 The giveaway I announced in September was paid out in October btw. This is a fresh one🫰

I think there’s something about working hard in this manner It’s either; something (an huge opportunity shows up aligning with your efforts) Or Your ethic births a very amazing result somehow, you can’t have hardwork as an habit in the right direction consistently and just go fruitless, no way I don’t know how to best explain
I’ve been averaging 4-5 hours sleep per day these last two weeks. Hopefully it pays off soon.

If 12 million slaves left Africa, it means black African slave traders made a huge business capturing and selling off 12 million of their kins to their white business counterparts. I think the ease with which we solely focus on the West on matters of slavery is because they have built nations out of all kinds of transaction they made with the outside world, which isn’t a crime because we happen to all envy their states. It is bad/good that we see it as a divine intervention when one of us “finally” lands a US visa, for instance. This is obvious in NOT just the testimony given in church on Sunday, but the “Hallelujah” chant that follows from the congregation. To ponder 🤔: - what stopped the African slave trader from using the African slaves he captured for commercial agriculture on our fertile soil? - what stopped the black African from building ships and daring into other continents as well? - if the West, lacking the resources that are naturally abundant on the African soil, have devised ways of exploiting our resources to build states that attracts everyone from elsewhere, why are Africa, naturally abundant with the human and mineral resources lagging behind. There was an evil trade in the souls of men. One group (slave consumer) saw an opportunity in sailing the “merchandise” across the Great Pond to build nations. The other group (slave supplier) was contented with exchanging millions of its kins for Dane guns, wine, metal spoons and stools. Assuming we all are descendants of those merchants, on what ground does one group demand compensation from the other? Other countries - China, Japan, India - have had very long painful histories with the Western world, but have moved on to develop in their way and are currently competing on the international stage. There has to come a time when we look forward to what we can do as Black Africa. That time was yesterday. We are already behind schedule⏰
Kemi, congratulations on leading a major British party as a Black Woman. It takes real talent to rise to where you are and deceit is what it takes to rise as a Black leader in a western Conservative Party. It is a pity the climb did not leave room for a history book and since you chose to argue in the language of history, let us do the history. Let’s dissect your verbal diarrhea point by point. Everyone participated." Slavery existed on every continent. So did war, and nobody calls a village feud the World War. The transatlantic trade ran for 366 years (1501 to 1866) and put about 12.5 million Africans on ships, of whom about 1.8 million died before they saw the Americas, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database. It ran through joint-stock companies, chartered monopolies, Lloyd's underwriters and acts of Parliament. It was hereditary, because the law made the child of an enslaved mother property from birth. It was racial, because a whole continent was defined as chattel. No other system in history combined those features at that scale. Dissolving all of it into "people from every continent" is far worse than intellectual dishonesty. Britain was a market leader, not a participant. British ships carried about 3.2 million Africans, second only to Portugal and Brazil. The Treaty of Utrecht (1713) gave Britain the asiento, a thirty-year monopoly to supply 4,800 enslaved Africans a year to Spanish America. The Royal African Company, chartered in 1672 and headed by the Duke of York, later James II, branded its captives "DY". During Edward Colston's years in its leadership it shipped about 84,000 people, and roughly 19,000 died on the way. You say British taxpayers should not answer for what happened before they were born. They did. In 1833 Britain borrowed £20 million to compensate slaveholders, and taxpayers serviced that loan until 2015, including the descendants of the enslaved. So the principle you invoke was not applied when the cheque went to slaveholders. It only appears when the cheque changes direction. "Navel-gazing" is a curious charge from someone whose party spends more energy on the past (Empire nostalgia, culture war crusades) than most of those you accuse. Defend Britain if you must. But do not use your Nigerian name as the permission slip for arguments Nigerians know better than anyone.

If you're doing at that level, I think it's best to do a Powertank tbh. The money you'll spend to properly connect and protect a solar inverter setup, at the 12v level, doesn't make it cost effective. You can just get the power tank and know the cons and pros of it. Tailor your expectations according to reality, and know that what you pay is what you get. Overall the major constraint is money, and that's why they are a hit. Little purchasing power, so it's a cost effective solution for light usage (charge phone, power router, and fan) My problem is with someone going for it and wanting to use it to do more than what the specs says.
instead of buying a power station (power tank) for your crib as your primary backup, just get a 1kw–2kw inverter and battery system. A power tank basically a power bank for appliances, not a proper home backup system.

In addition, while government revenue may be little or limited, its duty is to create the enabling environment that helps people create wealth. When people create wealth, in turn, the government makes more money via taxes. If the government provides steady electricity, good roads, and security, helps reduce inflation via the necessary policies, and helps make access to soft loans easier with flexible conditions, etc., industrialization takes place, food production increases, SMEs spring up, employment records improve, etc. Incidentally, due to official graft, these things are not available because a few people pocket a significant part of the little we generate. Therefore, everything stays stagnant while politics becomes the biggest thriving business. In essence, everything limiting Naija connects with corruption!
