It's so difficult to explain to the outside world what it has meant to live in the West Bank in the last few months.
The level of Israeli violence we have been witnessing has not only been unprecedented, but it's beyond rogue and feral.
Israelis, whether in the army or not, have been armed not just with military grade weapons like M16s, but they've been provided with drones.
Every neighborhood in the West Bank faces some form of Israeli violence every day. It's either settlers carrying out pogroms, shooting Palestinians in their own lands and homes, or the army and police detaining Palestinians and subjecting them to torture as a sadistic ritual.
As Palestinians we've been stripped of all capacity to not just push back, but to even remain on our lands.
BRIEF:
Water has been systemically cut off, electricity is slowly cut off, access to hospitals and education is ruptured, there are economic restrictions on money flow while Israeli soldiers carry out organized and systemic robbery of Palestinians (stealing money from people on checkpoints, stealing gold from homes, and even carrying out army-sanctioned robberies of hundreds of thousands of dollars from official money exchange offices).
The West Bank feels so dystopic, every day we wait to see if Israelis have come up with a reason to carry out their sadistic games of violence. Whether it's some Jewish holiday, or some other excuse, we're always just waiting to see what event Israelis will evoke that day to attack us.
It's like a daily waltz with death. You either survive another day, or you don't.

I donโt know who will care about what Iโm saying, but the situation here in Gaza is literally spiraling out of control in a terrifying way.
We are living in an area that makes up no more than 30% of the entire Gaza Strip, and this area has been reduced to rubble and tents. We are besieged by land, sea, and air. There is no real way out and nowhere we can escape to. There are cranes and massive sand embankments surrounding Gaza, and people are living under constant surveillance and fear. You cannot leave, and you cannot choose where you want to go. All you can do is wait.
Water stations have almost completely stopped operating because fuel and oil have run out. The tents have been torn apart and worn down by the extreme heat, and people are living inside them in conditions that are impossible to describe. Hospitals have been extensively destroyed, with medicines and medical supplies unavailable, and even basic diagnostic and treatment equipment has become extremely scarce. Almost everything is prohibited from entering Gaza, and even what is allowed in is subject to approval and restrictions.
The entire education system has collapsed. Schools have been destroyed, children have been deprived of their education, and families are sleeping on the streets or living in tents that offer no protection from the extreme heat, cold, or any other danger.
The reality here is far worse than anything I can write. Words cannot convey the scale of what we are experiencing, and no single photograph can show what it is like to watch an entire city collapse before our eyes.
We are not living a normal life. We are simply trying to survive. Besieged from every direction, without a home, without safety, and without any clear way out.

Leaving the UAE back to Washington, full of complex emotions after flying two airdrop missions over Gaza on Monday and Tuesday, the last food/aid airdrops since, and witnessing the Hamdan ship set sail to Gaza via Egypt with 7,000 tons of food/medicine. Seeing Gaza decimated from the sky after 20 years of being away was heartbreaking - my brother was able to trace the location of our family's destroyed home, the cemetery where my dad is buried, and the zone where he's currently located. Seeing the desolate parts of Gaza, the flattened neighborhoods, and clear signs of pain, suffering, and hardship was extremely troubling, enraging, saddening, and shocking.
It made me 1000 more anti-Hamas and clear-eyed that they are tools for the decimation, destruction, and annihilation of the Palestinian people in Gaza and beyond, along with the far-right in Israel. They are both united in their hatred for Palestinians and desire to cause the erasure, expulsion and misery of Gaza. Hamas is the most serious enemy of Gazans, whose terror and criminality are excuses for the continuation of Gaza's further decimation. Hamas cannot have any future role in Gaza and must be shunned, confronted, isolated, contained, and made irrelevant and impotent.
Grateful for the Emirati contributions and leadership to find solutions and pursue all available avenues to make a difference. Just two days ago, a massive water pipe came online to serve up to 700,000 displaced people in southern Gaza, using a UAE-provided desalination plant in Egypt's El-Arish. There's much to be done, and much can be done if slogans, rhetoric, maximalism, extremism, armchair pontification, and useless activism are sidelined in favor of level heads, radical pragmatism, and a futurist, forward-looking action and vision setting.
