Heartbroken, after 14 plus years of living with #alzhiemers, yesterday our lovely mum took flight. Whilst the disease took many things from us, love and laughter were always there, raise a glass, create memories and always fight #RightsForResidents

I will never forget the day my oldest friend came with me to say hi to my mum - hadn’t see here for years, mum’s dementia always very advanced - we sat down, she said hello and my burst out laughing, knew straight away, so special, best present you can give

3 years ago #CareHomes had started to close their doors. It would be 20 days before the rest of the country locked down. Over the next 3 weeks, we will be remembering those #IsolatedLovedLost. Please share a photograph in memory of your loved one & 3 Words #rightsforresidents

A lot of talk about who pays what for care, national care services, older people, pensions. #socialcare is for all, not just older people. Many young people need #care & yes we had to sell everything mum owned for the care she needed. It was her right to have the best she could.

Any reason @andyburnham @UKLabour @GOVUK have not yet enshrined "Gloria's law"? A new legal right to a Care Supporter would give all those in health & social care settings a legal right to maintain contact with at least one care supporter, that could be with them in all settings.
