NEW: the Marion County Clerk's Office has confirmed 12 federal election monitors will be in Marion County on Election Day. These individuals are permitted to stand outside polling locations — not inside. They are not permitted to hassle voters, and you are not obligated to speak with them.
If you see anyone interfering with the election process during early voting or on election day, call 317-327-VOTE.

Out of 92 counties in Indiana, Trump’s DOJ has chosen 2 counties with the largest populations of Democratic voters and Black and Hispanic voters to subject to “election monitoring.”
It’s no coincidence. It’s also no coincidence that it comes just weeks before an election, when Trump has record low poll numbers. It follows multiple, illegal attempts to change election procedures for his benefit, from a president who still maintains the 2020 election was stolen.
Our elections in Marion County are still run by the clerk, who is elected by Marion County voters.
I’m urging everyone to vote as soon as possible. You can vote early at the City-County Building now or at additional locations starting this weekend, which can be found at vote.indy.gov.
There are so many threats to our right to vote because of how powerful our vote is. Make your voice heard. Vote now.
I like that they arranged the candidates by height order.
Indiana Secretary of State candidates sparred Wednesday over who is best positioned to serve in the role. wfyi.org/statewide/2026-10-0…
Ask every Republican about this every single day. Get them on the record.
“The President and GOP leader said that an Iranian attack on American soil is a small price to pay. Your reaction?”
Hold members of Congress accountable for the Commander in Chief’s wartime words. Enough.
I’m Beau Bayh, a captain in the Marines, a seventh-generation Hoosier, and I’m running for Secretary of State to clean up this office. I’ll end the corruption on day one. No more taxpayer-funded luxury SUVs or no-bid contracts to donors while Hoosiers barely make ends meet.
Indiana can’t afford any more weak politicians. Let’s get to work.
Congressman @Tom_Suozzi, thanks for joining us in Indy! Marion County is ready for November!
LET’S GO!!!

11 years ago, the landmark Obergefell decision affirmed marriage equality.
While Democrats’ Respect for Marriage Act codified that victory in 2022, the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans are under attack by Republicans who want to take us back.
We won’t stop fighting for full equality.

President Obama on the day of the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling:
The Supreme Court has reaffirmed that all Americans are entitled to the equal protection of the law, regardless of who they are or who they love. This ruling is a victory for America. This decision affirms what millions of Americans already believe in their hearts: When all Americans are treated as equal, we are all more free.

On the anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, we honor the advocates and couples whose courage helped secure marriage equality across the United States and recommit ourselves to protecting LGBTQI+ rights.
We will defend the rights and dignity of LGBTQI+ Americans and push back against the right-wing extremism that discriminates against Americans.

Such a pleasure to be with 1,200 Hoosier Democrats in Indianapolis last weekend. These Midwesterners are doing the hard work of turning red places to pink -> pink places to purple -> purple places to blue. Indiana is in play in 2026!
“We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day.”
To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis:
Show us your laptop.
Show us your iCloud.
Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation.
You won’t.
You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out.
That is not who we are.
My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count.
For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame.
I no longer believe that.
Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us.
And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts.
That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena.
Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next.
Life does not determine our character. It reveals it.
Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next?
We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day.
So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop.
You won’t.
The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing.
That is the only definition that matters.

I had the chance to visit with Beau in Indianapolis last night. He’s a great example of a next generation Midwestern leader, and I could feel the energy for him from @INDems.

Today, I proclaimed June as Nuclear Family Month in Indiana.
As a father of four and grandfather of seven, I have seen firsthand the impact that loving, committed families can have across multiple generations. As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, this proclamation recognizes the important role families play in shaping the future of our state and our country.
Indiana will continue supporting policies that strengthen families and help the next generation thrive.
