Our open letter to Routledge is now published. We demand that the book 'Sexual Misconduct in Academia' - withdrawn after 'complaints' - be reinstated, with an explanation from Routledge. Please share, and read and sign here: buala.org/en/mukanda/open-le…
We stand in solidarity with the authors of Chapter 12 of the book 'Sexual Misconduct in Academia'. The book has been withdrawn from publication by @routledgebooks after complaints were made about the chapter. [paywall, sorry]: timeshighereducation.com/new…

Auto-ethnographic accounts of sexual harassment by faculty are a crucial tool for early career academics to break the silence about their experiences. There is a long tradition of victim-survivors writing de-identified accounts of such experiences in academia.

The past few days have been overwhelming. I continue to support @ghaywan’s excellent work, now with Made in Heaven and earlier with Geeli Pucchi on Netflix. But this needs to be said.

I researched the state of Nepal Studies in India c. 2000. One version in Himal (2002) Nepal, India and Area Studies himalmag.com/nepal-india-and… Version with citations (2001) Regional Area Studies in South Asia: Dark Days Ahead Nepali Journal of Contemporary Studies, vol. 1, no. 2
And, Nepal studies is not just those work out of the UK, Europe and North American institutions; there is a long tradition of Nepal studies in India, which has clearly undergone significant changes with significant transformation of HE in India, Japan and also in China
