Gender-responsive school leadership is not a one-time activity, it exists on a continuum. Schools move from reinforcing harmful gender norms to becoming spaces that actively transform inequality and create equal opportunities for all learners and educators.

Security starts with Me and You. Through support from @KOICAKenya and @UNDPKenya, @KECOSCE in partnership with @NCTC_Kenya brought together youth leaders, religious leaders, women leaders from Shella Ward and the Sub County security committee to a dialogue in order to adress the underlying issues that often lead to mistrust between community and security actors. We spoke openly about the root causes of crime highlighting key issues such as weak coordination among security actors and community, youth unemployment, corruption, drug and substance abuse and parental negligence that has often led to increased insecurity; a fertile ground for violent extremism. Strengthening the existing local EWER mechanisms was greatly emphasized to enhance reporting and response of arising cases in Shella Ward. @StepGithaiga @@Muviazalwa @Phyllis_Muema
