7days later it’s looking good. A88

Sorghum is a go!

After Mcintosh and son gave me the opportunity to see the realise of the New Holland CR in Perth a couple years ago never thought we’d have one on farm, or call it our own. Productive, efficient, throughput. What a machine it’s proving to be. CR 11 is the real game changer.

Yield map is going to be interesting for sure

When we decided to plant with the Boss strip till I thought we’d definitely need follow up rain, crop has its ups and downs but it’s there. 20mm in crop between 7 falls. Don’t expect much but I’ll take it.

Boss strip till planted barley.

Barley planted with Boss strip till. Tyne row yet to emerge.

Should take the pressure off at harvest time.

Grizzly wheel track renovator not perfect but it’s pretty bloody good.

Last bit of summer 2026 harvest done. Long season started 27th Jan.

Finally finished our sorghum. A season of good the bad and the straight up ugly. But it’s in the bin. About 900ha of contracting left to go.

Never gets old

Going to be a long sorghum harvest, spread out crop stages.

Sorghum has started. Less then 6 weeks ago we were harvesting winter crop.

Strip till here we come. Can see the results of using current gear so something bit more suited for the job I don’t think we can go wrong.

But going on there. PWM

Macdon FD2 61. It’s a beautiful thing. Costs yea, but so good when it comes to efficiency and throughput.

Weather isn’t playing the game but we’re still moving forward.

Sorghum finally all in. Harvest still rolling along, but we are going to get wet on Friday and over the weekend for sure.
