Yamal arguably got many weak points: - he barely leverages any teammates for those quick one-two , Messi thrived with them on any area of the pitch. - he looks utterly uninterested until the ball gets to him, then hogs the ball unnecessarily. -after a through ball, he just stays back, Messi used to run for his life even after making killer passes.

I feel like Cucurella approaches defending Lamine a bit like Filipe Luís approached handling Messi back in the day. Obviously, Messi was Messi and he found ways to thrive anyway. Lamine’s going to have to find his own solutions.
