I’m very proud of the work that our #lastingimpressions19 team has done for our second study day - last Friday’s event was a wonderful way of getting a whole bunch of people interested in replicas in the same room to talk about some incredible objects! 💪

@ableminds_ captured doing her first keynote, & on her favourite subject - #mylifeasareplica. Enjoy. @news_RSE & @HistEnvScot funded the St John's Cross replica project. @Blinkymanx & Foster thank @HistEnvScot & #IonaCathedralTrustees for their ongoing support for book (in prog).
Has it really been a whole week since #lastingimpressions19?! Our team have been hard at work on our online legacy, including uploading photos from our exhibition, making the study day guide available online, and sharing YouTube videos of our fantastic speaker presentations.

If you didn't get down to #lastingimpressions19 last week, there's a brilliant play by play on their blog now.
If you haven't been before, pencil it in provisionally for next year. You won't regret it!

A frequently forgotten role of museums is to chronicle history as it's made as well as the older stuff and now's the best time as all the information is to hand! #MuseumDocumentation

Remember this display @morethanadodo from yesterday? Well today's task is to document these specimens to record use in this display and as part of #LastingImpressions19

Have to echo thanks to everyone involved in making #lastingimpressions19 a fantastic day, again.
Lots of impressed faces from the moment attendees pick up a programme.
One of the highlights of my year for sure, and it definitely sets the bar for interdisciplinary study days.
