These tiny cut out paper shapes were created by schoolgirls at Sutton House in the 17th century. They slipped through gaps in the floorboards, where they’ve remained undiscovered until now. They’ll be on display at Sutton House from Friday until December.

Not everything needs to be sorted out, dealt with, tackled or solved. And we don't need to hold onto things that no longer serve us. Nature shows us that.

"My last thought took me to somewhere I love, somewhere I'm happy."
An incredibly moving story from @RichardHammond. We're so pleased to hear places we care for, such as Buttermere, continue to provide a comforting place for so many people.
Felt risky making this video; it’s very personal. But I hope it means something to you.

The London Blossom Garden, an oasis planted in memory of those lost to COVID-19, is Highly Commended at this year’s London Tree and Woodland Awards.
Representing the boroughs and City of London, the garden in @noordinarypark offers a quiet space for reflection and remembrance.

ALT A wide shot of young trees, decked out in blossom, against a background of the East London skyline.

ALT A close-up photo of a sign reading: 'Welcome to the London Blossom Garden. This garden commemorates those who lost their lives to the coronavirus pandemic. A living memorial, it also pays tribute to London's brave key workers, who risked their own lives to help others and keep our city moving. Created in partnership with local residents and community groups, it is a place for you to enjoy spending time in.'
