I honestly hate going through cash pricing options with patients. Makes me feel like a sales person rather than a doc. But finding the best deal for them is realistically the best way to get them the treatment they need for their health in our current reality.

Telehealth reduces the risk of infection by allowing patients to receive medical care from home. But without Congressional action, Medicare telehealth coverage is ending soon for millions. If your provider participates in an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), some telehealth benefits may be available (medicare.gov/coverage/telehe…). I testified ⁦@peia hearing. They are in crisis & raising costs. How can I ask them to pay for $$$ obesity GLP1s when other plans are dropping coverage? PEIA already invested in a pilot & that money should not be wasted. Cover small #patients already in pilot & follow outcomes!

Final day of Obesity Week featured an oral presentation by our resident Dr. Adeniran. Pleased he was able to present work initiated by our productive previous Obesity Medicine fellow, Dr. Luis Nieto, who took advantage of TriNetX research opportunities available through WV’s CTSI
