ALL WELCOME to this free workshop I'm running on 21 Nov at Sussex Uni about educational exclusion as a "four-sided" problem.
We'll be discussing the respective roles that school, system, service & societal factors play in educational exclusion/inclusion:

Replying to @nickyjanehill
This at the Winch (Camden - @the_winch) opens next Thur. And they have play worker roles currently - thewinch.org/careers/
These key principles form the first main section of the briefing.
In the second, I briefly describe a set of themed determinants of success - factors which could ‘make or break’ the success of Young Futures Hubs.
E.g. the points below on commissioning & oversight.
(7/7)
The fifth principle is:
"Social infrastructure" - Young Futures Hubs should become youth social infrastructure.
(6/7)
The fourth principle is:
"Tailored to relational working" - Young Futures Hubs should provide conducive conditions for relational practice and cultural humility.
(5/7)
The third principle is:
"Shaped by youth voice" - Young Futures Hubs must be guided by the voices of local young people.
(4/7)
The second principle is:
"Area-based" - Young Futures Hubs should be carefully contextualised to meet local needs and localised in their commissioning, design and delivery.
(3/7)
Central to the briefing are five key principles which I think should guide the delivery of Young Futures Hubs.
They spell the word 'LASTS'.
The first principle is:
"Long-term" - Young Futures Hubs should pursue long-term, collaborative, community-level impact

📢 POLICY BRIEFING RE YOUNG FUTURES HUBS PUBLISHED TODAY📢
I've written a short policy briefing about Young Futures Hubs, which I'm pleased to say has been endorsed by 30 key sector organisations.
Briefing is here:

I should be clear that the paper is largely the work of @nilogos, and draws upon his work on the Adolescent Safeguarding In London handbook - liia.london/adolescent-safeg… - version 2 of which is in the works!
