Mohammad Bin Salman is a phony. Executing citizens for protesting? A 14 year old kid? After 15 years of torture. He's as bad as Putin. A mass murderer. aol.com/articles/saudi-arabi…

If you care about the environment, dont vote R. An R vote enables Trump and Burgum to destroy everything. They have already caused massive damage.

The recirculation "feature" in cars is extremely dangerous. It increases risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission immensely in rideshares. The CO2 level itself also promotes drowsiness and cognitive dysfunction, risk factors for accidents. If you have a CO2 monitor, use it while driving with recirc on for 15 mins. You will not be able to unsee the result, and I doubt you will ever do it again.
The age-old question still stands: which car is trying to suffocate you the most? We're on a mission to find out. First one - the EV.

BREAKING MAJOR RESCUE OPERATION UNDERWAY OF THE NORTHWEST OF IRELAND A major search and rescue operation is underway of the northwest coast of Ireland around the center of #stormboelo this evening following distress calls from big Russian tanker carrying diesel. The UK Coastguard is coordinating a response to an Inmarsat-C Distress Alert from vessel MYRA. This potentially one of the Russian ships heading to the USA with Diesel . I hope there is no leaks as it would be a environmental disaster. The Irish air corps and Coastguard don't have the capabilities to provide cover due to the range the tanker is out 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 & 𝗦𝗔𝗥 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 Given the extreme distance from mainland coastal stations (beyond typical shore-based rotary SAR operational radius without offshore refueling) and current sea states, direct surface intervention by coastal rescue craft is technically constrained. Standard Search and Rescue protocol in this scenario relies on:Alerting nearby commercial traffic via GMDSS broadcast.Deploying long-range fixed-wing maritime patrol aircraft (such as RAF P-8A Poseidon) for top-cover monitoring and communications relay if required. This rescue operation is ongoing as off 20:57 #SAR #Mayday #Coastguard #storm #weather #ireland #uk – at Leitrim, Ireland

A distress alert from tanker MYRA led UK Coastguard to alert nearby vessels for assistance but no major rescue was underway; the ship continued sailing and trackers reported it in ballast (empty), not carrying diesel, en route to Egypt. theins.ru/news/298705 vesselfinder.com/vessels/detail… vesseltracker.com/en/Ships/Myra-…

Trump is giving Putin parts of Alaska for LNG. This is absolute treason
Trump’s sideline Russian hustle falls apart. 🇺🇸‼️ The top management of a US $25 billion gas project in Alaska has resigned amid suspicions that the project is secretly controlled by Russia. The former CEO of Polar Train LNG said that the export terminal is actually financed and controlled by Russia’s Novatek without Washington’s permission. At first, he believed that the money was provided by investor, who is associated with the Trump family, but it turned out that the financing came from Novatek. Russia’s Novatek has been under US sanctions since 2014, and its Arctic LNG 2 project was added to the list in 2023. According to the FT, a swap is being discussed in negotiations with Moscow: Novatek helps with Alaska, and the US lifts sanctions on Arctic LNG 2.

Anyone voting R is voting for Trump to continue doing whatever he wants. A vote for R is a vote for extinction.

Any progress we have made in adding renewable energy to offset FF energy has been completely negated by data centers. Not just from sucking energy out of the grid but by on site energy production from nat gas and diesel generators. stocks.apple.com/AAbibKyQnSR…

Before Google’s arrival a few months ago, an estimated 250,000 trees occupied the 330 hectares (815 acres) of forest near Muhos in rural northern Finland. Now they are all gone, the tech company illegally stripped the entire area to build a datacentre theguardian.com/environment/…

Stop the Nuclear and Gas Data Center Projects in Carbon County, Utah - Sign the Petition! c.org/7FYHb4cNpk via @Change

Data center companies want more than 24,000 acres of your public land. That's the count from the Center for Western Priorities, which just mapped every data center application sitting on BLM land. 35 applications, spread across AZ, ID, NV, OR, UT and WY. At least seventeen are data center campuses, and one of them, in UT, would be powered by 456 small nuclear reactors. Thirteen are the roads, water pipelines and power lines to feed them. Many list zero acres, so the real footprint is bigger. BLM already approved one data center near Boulder City, NV, in June. This month it was thrown out after an appeals board found BLM likely broke federal environmental law. If that data center sat on city land, Boulder City would have collected roughly $2.3 million a year. On BLM land, it won't generate any revenue for the city. Now picture 35 applications on 24,000 acres. Then there's what these places eat. Power first. In a Sept. 24 letter to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, 16 House Democrats warned that data centers could use up to 12% of all electricity in the U.S. by 2028, straining the grid and driving up energy prices. Then water. U.S. data centers drank 17 billion gallons in 2023 just to stay cool, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory says that could double or even quadruple by 2028. Not to mention the wildlife and the land itself. Public lands are often tied to tribal lands and waters, so tribal communities are on the line too. And the public? The Center for Western Priorities says there is no framework for environmental review, public input, or sending revenue back to taxpayers. Lauren Bogard, of the Center for Western Priorities, put it plainly: "Data centers are not like oil, gas, or minerals, which are extracted from public lands because that's where they exist." Not that extracting oil, gas or minerals is good for public lands in any shape or form. If you feel as strongly as I do about keeping data centers off our public lands, please fill out the easy form below. Tell Burgum to stop this dangerous precedent and protect our shared public lands. Then share it with your friends. It's in the first reply. Thank you. #HumanityUnited #DemsUnited 🧵
