My brother almost died from influenza two years ago. He was in a coma on a respirator for more than two weeks. He has permanent damage to his lungs. Get the flu shot, people.
My least favourite part of flu season is when I see unvaccinated people die from flu

Bonjour Mme. Laine. Since you are French-Canadian (that would be Franco-Manitoban, if I am not mistaken) I will assume that you can speak, read and write French. I would suggest you take the time to watch a Quebec TV show, produced by Quebec producers and directors 1/
As a French Canadian myself, I’ve always thought this was odd

Once again turning the sacrifices of Canadian and other allied troops into a punchline. The United States is the only country ever to have triggered Section 5 of the NATO Treaty, i.e. calling on allies for a joint military response to 9/11. We were there. 1100 allied NATO troops made the supreme sacrifice, including 158 brave Canadians. Shame on this man, and those who enable him, for repeatedly mocking their bravery.
Hegseth on Afghanistan: I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters. It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there. Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations. In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths. t.co/x4tGhxJiFG

It has done none of those things. This is detestable scapegoating.
It cannot be understated: our broken immigration system has caused high unemployment, high home prices and high inflation. It must be fixed and provincial rights strengthened. Today, the Prime Minister got a copy of our referendum questions including the 9 on immigration and constitutional reforms. If Albertans give us a strong mandate on these questions, our government will get right to work on these needed reforms. And as I’ve said many times, please vote for Option 1, a strong Alberta within a united Canada, and yes to the rest! 🍁

Why does trade diversification matter?

Since I joined Prime Minister @MarkJCarney on his historic trip to China in January, Alberta’s crude oil exports to China are up 139%.

That’s $4.4 billion in new sales in eight months.

Canada and Alberta have what the world wants, and we're going to build on this success with Pacific Link -- generating the profits Canadians can use to build Canada Strong.🇨🇦

For those who suggest that Canada is somehow unique in experiencing high inflation . . .
Inflation is RED hot in the US. For anyone not keeping track, US CPI inflation is now nearly double the Fed's 2% target and US PPI Inflation is more than triple that target. PPI inflation was expected to fall in August, but instead it surged to 6.3%, its second highest level in 4 years. And, month-over-month Headline PPI inflation surged +1.3%, more than doubling the +0.6% expected and the second largest jump since March 2021. Meanwhile, month-over-month Core PPI inflation came in +133% above expectations. The prices Americans are seeing now will look cheap in 12 to 24 months. All you can do is own assets.

David Eby, campaigning for re-election, promises to take on grocery giants by capping retail profit margins on milk, eggs, cheese, butter and poultry—all products covered by supply management. That system protects farm revenues, but grocers still need to cover purchasing, transportation, refrigeration, labour and spoilage costs. Quebec already caps retail prices for certain formats of regular milk. No province currently imposes comparable retail price ceilings on eggs or poultry. The economic risk is straightforward: if a ceiling leaves retailers unable to cover their costs, they have less incentive to stock those products, potentially reducing selection and availability. Protecting prices at the farm while squeezing margins at the store does not make those costs disappear. Stupid policy...

Pneumonic Plague cannot become a global pandemic , it is far too lethal, person-to-person spread is inefficient, it is airborne in droplets but not aerosolised. Distant spread is very unlikely. We have good prophylactic antibiotics.
