This is Twitch!
He's one of the lucky ones, rescued by @BarnSanctuary. Most aren't so lucky.
The Industrial Animal Complex doesn't care about individuals like Twitch. Most people do, though, so everyone must make that connection between the animals we love & the food we eat. 🧡

Every day. I come in with snow on my boots and they go through this little routine of pecking it off for fun. #friendsnotfood #rescue

They don’t want to die. The demand for animal products is destroying not only innocent lives of non human animals, but also the health of humans and our planet. Animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate chaos.
What emotions can you see in their faces?

We get two minutes with the trucks before they enter the slaughterhouse.
Please think of the victims before you decide what to put on your dinner plates tonight. Please live vegan.

“It’s been a long night” the driver said annoyed that we stopped him for two minutes. “Think of how the animals feel Sir” Ash pleads with him as we bear witness. On his truck are thousands of 45 day old chickens about to be killed. This is their first and final time in daylight.

Sorry but this just isn’t true. Here is a photo via @WeAnimals of a mink bred for fur killed by electrocution and skinned in Canada.

Farmer defends murdering animals unnecessarily for profit. Activists defend animals.

If the few animal protection laws we have were enforced, activists wouldn’t enter farms to show us the conditions inside, or feed water to dehydrated animals in transport. Farmers aren’t the ones who need protection, the animals are. #ISupportActivists cp24.com/news/ontario-introd…

A reminder as we debate the ethics of #AgGag laws in Canada, of who is at the heart of this, who the true victims are. It ain’t farmers. My September column for @NatObserver:

I stand by what I said if someone feels threatened by my bumper stickers let’s sit down and chat about it face to face. Violence is not the answer. Just because a farmer feels threatened doesn’t give them the right to threaten others.

Farmers claim these spaces are “like their homes“ (when activists show up), yet provide no fire prevention/ protection due to “low human occupancy” classification. Animals aren’t objects, don’t deserve this torture. (My column theglobeandmail.com/amp/opin… )
