What if one conversation could change the way you approach your next challenge? Leadership can be rewarding, but it can also be isolating. Whether you're navigating a difficult decision, feeling stuck professionally, or simply trying to figure out what's next, having someone in your corner who asks the right questions can make a meaningful difference. That's one of the reasons I'm such a strong believer in the power of coaching. And if you've been curious about what coaching could do for you, here's an opportunity worth exploring. 250,000 YouTube Views! What a Milestone for Lead Empowered TV! Today, I'm celebrating something pretty special. Lead Empowered TV has officially surpassed 250,000 views on YouTube! When I started this journey, my vision was simple: create a platform where meaningful conversations could inspire people to lead better, live with greater purpose, and make a positive difference in the lives of others. A quarter of a million views later, that mission continues to grow. But here's what excites me most. It's not really about the views. It's about the impact behind them. Every conversation represents an opportunity to challenge someone's thinking, encourage a leader who's navigating a difficult season, or inspire someone to take that next step toward becoming the person they were created to be. I'm incredibly grateful to the remarkable guests who have shared their experiences, wisdom, and stories. You are what makes these conversations so valuable. And to everyone who has watched, subscribed, shared an episode, or encouraged me along the way—THANK YOU! This milestone belongs to all of us. We're building something much bigger than a YouTube channel. We're building a community around conversations that transform how we lead, work, and live. 250,000 views. Countless meaningful conversations. And we're just getting started! Here's to the next chapter of Lead Empowered TV! 🎬 Explore the conversations: LeadEmpoweredTV.com #LeadEmpoweredTV #Leadership #LeadershipDevelopment #PeopleFirstLeadership #Podcast #ExecutiveLeadership #LeadEmpowered

Your Words Are Either Building Your Team Up or Breaking Them Down. One of the most powerful tools we have as leaders doesn't cost a dime. It's something we use every single day. Our words. Ephesians 4:29 (CSB) reminds us: "No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear." Think about that for a moment. Every conversation we have as leaders is an opportunity to build trust, strengthen relationships, encourage growth, or create unnecessary tension. And sometimes, the difference comes down to just a few words. I've worked with leaders who genuinely cared about their people but struggled to communicate that care effectively. Their intentions were good, but their words, tone, or timing often communicated something entirely different. Here's what I've learned: People don't just respond to what we say. They respond to how our words make them feel about themselves, their contributions, and their place on the team. That doesn't mean leadership is about avoiding difficult conversations or telling people only what they want to hear. Quite the opposite. Healthy teams need honest feedback, accountability, and sometimes uncomfortable conversations. But there's a significant difference between correcting someone to help them grow and criticizing someone in a way that tears them down. One develops people. The other diminishes them. As leaders, we should regularly ask ourselves: Are my words creating clarity or confusion? Am I speaking to encourage growth or simply express frustration? Do people leave conversations with me feeling valued, even when we've discussed something difficult? Am I creating an environment where people feel safe enough to speak honestly? The words we choose today help shape the culture we'll experience tomorrow. And that culture will either empower people to bring their best or cause them to hold back. Here's my challenge to you this week: Be intentional about how you communicate. Before your next difficult conversation, consider not only what needs to be said, but how you can say it in a way that preserves dignity, strengthens trust, and encourages growth. Because leadership isn't just about getting the message across. It's about making sure the person on the receiving end matters just as much as the message itself. What's one communication habit you've found makes a meaningful difference in how your team responds to your leadership? #Leadership #ServantLeadership #FaithBasedLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #CommunicationSkills #TeamCulture #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadEmpowered

Not every week needs a big win. Some weeks, the win is a difficult conversation you finally had. A decision you stopped putting off. A problem you caught before it became a bigger one. Or simply showing up when your energy wasn't at 100%. We talk a lot about results. Not nearly enough about the quiet work that makes those results possible. So here's a different kind of Friday question: What's one small win from this week that deserves more credit than it's getting? I'll bet it's more significant than you think. Happy Friday!

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb: sweet to the taste and health to the body.” - Proverbs 16:24 (CSB) Leaders often underestimate the weight of their words. A few careless words can create uncertainty. A dismissive response can shut someone down. A harsh correction can make a capable employee hesitant to speak up again. But the opposite is also true. A thoughtful word can restore confidence. A sincere compliment can reinforce someone’s value. A clear conversation can eliminate unnecessary anxiety. A little encouragement at the right moment can completely change someone’s day. Proverbs 16:24 reminds us that words can actually bring health. That matters in leadership. Because every conversation contributes to the culture we’re creating. This doesn’t mean avoiding difficult conversations or telling people only what they want to hear. Healthy leadership requires honesty, accountability, and sometimes correction. But truth and kindness arent opposites. We can be direct without being demeaning. We can correct without crushing. We can challenge someone while still communicating that we believe in them. People may eventually forget the details of a meeting. But they often remember how they felt walking out of the room. As leaders, we should regularly ask ourselves: Are my words creating health in the people I lead, or slowly taking it away? The words we choose today may become part of someone elses internal dialogue tomorrow.Choose them well. #Leadership #Communication #LeadershipDevelopment #WorkplaceCulture #TeamBuilding #FaithAndLeadership #LeadEmpowered

The most meaningful way to show someone you appreciate them might not cost you a dime. Think about the last time someone genuinely invested in your growth. Maybe they recommended a book that changed your perspective, introduced you to someone who opened a door, or encouraged you to pursue an opportunity you hadnt considered. Chances are, you remember that gesture. Not because of what it cost, but because of what it communicated: "I see your potential. I understand what matters to you. And I want to see you succeed." I recently had the opportunity to contribute to a Forbes Coaches Council expert panel exploring 15 Meaningful Ways To Show Appreciation Beyond Traditional Gifts. My contribution focused on something I believe is especially important in leadership: investing in the professional growth of others. Too often, appreciation in the workplace becomes transactional. We recognize accomplishments, celebrate milestones, and occasionally offer rewards. Those things certainly have their place, but meaningful appreciation goes deeper. When leaders take the time to understand someones aspirations and intentionally help them grow, they're communicating something far more powerful than a simple "thank you." They're demonstrating that they value the person, not just their performance. And for leaders of small and midsize businesses, where resources may be limited and every team member plays a significant role, this kind of intentional investment can make an enormous difference. People want to know that their contributions matter. But they also want to know that their future matters. That's where appreciation becomes an investment in trust, engagement, and long-term relationships. I'm grateful to Forbes for the opportunity to contribute alongside other leadership professionals. I'd love to hear your thoughts: Whats one meaningful way someone has invested in your growth that youve never forgotten? What does leadership look like when your team, customers, and stakeholders span countries, cultures, and vastly different environments? Join me TONIGHT on Lead Empowered TV for a conversation with Amit Kumar Sharma, Chief Operating Officer, North America & Caribbean at @VFSGlobal. Amit has spent more than two decades with VFS Global, building an impressive career leading people, managing complex operations, and navigating diverse cultural and business environments. And while his leadership experience spans the globe, the lessons he shares are relevant to leaders of organizations of every size: How do we build cultures where trust and accountability reinforce one another rather than compete? During our conversation, we explore what it means to lead across cultures, model the behaviors we expect from others, invest in people during uncertainty, and create accountability without creating fear. We also discuss something I believe is particularly important for leaders today: organizational culture isnt defined by what we say we value. Its defined by what our people consistently experience through our leadership. Whether you're leading a multinational organization or a small business with a handful of employees, these principles matter. Im grateful to Amit for sharing his experiences and insights, and I hope you'll join us for what promises to be a valuable conversation. 🎥 7pm CST TONIGHT on Lead Empowered TV: Leading Across Borders: How Trust, Culture & Accountability Shape High-Performing Teams 📺 Watch right here on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, e360tv, and our other streaming platforms. #LeadEmpoweredTV #LeadershipDevelopment #OrganizationalCulture #GlobalLeadership #Trust #Accountability #VFSGlobal #ExecutiveLeadership
