Frosty was, simultaneously, a stoic and a Dionysian. It was his ability to encompass both extremities wherein lay his greatness. He died a good death. #Twertzog

Pay-to-Play Petersen at it again. A politician on trial for corruption is pouring money into Warren’s failing campaign in an apparent attempt to save himself from indictment. Damning.

Can’t say it any better than this: “A politician on trial for corruption has friends and family pouring money into Warren Petersen's campaign. They're shopping for an attorney general who won't enforce the law or hold them accountable." Absolutely disqualifying for Petersen. azcentral.com/story/news/pol…

I am a proud product of Cartwright Elementary School, a former Cartwright Governing Board President, and a lifelong resident of this community. I know our families, understand our community, and care deeply about our district’s needs. I am outraged by the Cartwright Elementary School District’s contract with Sam Stone. In my view, his hyperpartisan, right-wing MAGA politics are fundamentally at odds with the values and priorities of our community. Our families deserve partners who are committed to our public schools, support our teachers, and put our children first. I have no confidence that Sam Stone shares those priorities. I call on the superintendent and Governing Board to do the right thing for our students, families, educators, and community: end this contract immediately. Our children deserve better. Cartwright deserves better.

Curious why AZ political media hasn’t made more of Sine Kerr’s and Kimberly Yee’s no votes on Arizona’s minimum age for marriage law passed in 2018. It was sponsored by Republican Michelle Ugenti-Rita and set marriage age at 16 (with narrow exceptions that MU-R had to add to get it past other Republicans). Governor Hobbs was, of course, a yes. Protecting children has been one of the defining themes of this election, no?

Sam Stone is also tasked with overseeing key midterm elections tasks while Lydia is on the ballot for re-election to the School Board. That raises all kinds of conflict of interest questions. End the corruption. Vote Pedro Paredes and Marissa Eloida H. for Cartwright by Nov. 3.

While Cartwright families struggle to pay bills, the District is funneling thousands in tax $$ to a MAGA operative under Board President Lydia Hernandez's leadership. What is Sam's job? We don't know because the District is ignoring records requests. 12news.com/article/news/poli…

My opponent voted early but doesn’t want you to do the same. As a legislator he repeatedly tried to restrict or end early voting and vote by mail. As long as I’m Secretary of State, I will protect your right to vote securely how you choose. Mail your ballot back today!

When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs. After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.

Trump is a #RussianAsset.
In just 10 days, the Trump administration has: - Struck a deal to buy Russian diesel and eased sanctions. - Suspended the bipartisan Graham-Blumenthal Russia sanctions law, just weeks after signing it. - Restricted Ukraine's access to Starshield satellite services. - Suspended intelligence warnings about Russian missile launches targeting Ukraine for several days. - Threatened to cut intelligence sharing unless Ukraine stopped striking Russian oil infrastructure. - Pressured Ukraine to remove Zelenskyy from power. - Downplayed Russia's and China's assistance to Iran in its war against the US, dismissing it as "very little." - Proposed unfreezing Russian sovereign assets and placing some under US control. - Pursued lucrative US-Russia business deals, including cooperation on data centres. - Proposed that Europe resume buying Russian gas as part of a Ukraine peace deal If Trump were actually a Russian agent, what exactly would he be doing differently?

It’s spooky season AZ & some things are scarier than Halloween. In 2023, Alexander Kolodin was placed on 18 months of probation following disciplinary proceedings involving his election-related lawsuits. Now he’s running to oversee elections. Read the facts, decide for yourself.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

BREAKING: Elon Musk approached Trump with the plan to choke off Ukraine's use of SpaceX's Starshield, and Trump agreed, but Musk then distanced himself after fearing a loss of revenue in Europe from his companies, per four sources to The Telegraph. Musk publicly blamed the White House, saying any limits on speed or usage were decided solely by the US military and the president. "He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it. The reality is that they were both in it," a senior source said. He only moved to distance himself after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, alarmed about backlash from European customers of Tesla and Starlink. Zelensky says he will now defy Trump's order to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries and will continue. "The main rule of our operations is to respond," he says.

We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families. Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating. We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink. Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes. From a conversation with media representatives in Brussels. (2/3)

The Trump administration is a racketeering crime syndicate. #TrumpCrimeFamily #RICO
Stop what you are doing because you need to read this. Billions of dollars in oil trades were perfectly timed to Trump’s decision to back off attacking Iranian power plants. Trump announced the reversal just 15 minutes after those trades were placed. Stocks surged while oil prices plummeted, setting up whoever placed those bets to make a fortune. Career analysts at the CFTC, the agency responsible for policing these markets, did exactly what they were supposed to do: they started digging. And what they found was serious enough to refer the trades for a potential insider trading investigation. That is, until a senior advisor to a Trump appointee shut it down. Congress needs answers about who made these bets, who had advanced knowledge of Trump’s decision, and why political leadership at the CFTC stepped in.
