Australia returned two Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) head statues to China in a major ceremony on Wednesday, October 28. A statement from China's National Cultural Heritage Administration revealed that the statues’ return was initiated in 2025 following investigations.

This is one of the largest public housing sites in Adelaide’s southern suburbs.
And it’s getting transformed.
All the old internal fixtures have been removed and the units are now being refitted to be more energy efficient – including insulation, air conditioning and new flooring.
It’s part of our work to improve the existing public housing stock while building more across the state.

28 October 1944 | A transport of 1,308 Jewish women prisoners left #Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. They were transferred to KL Bergen-Belsen.
Most probably among them were sisters Anne and Margot Frank who died there of typhus in February 1945.

The legislation to create the Great Koala National Park has officially passed the Parliament of New South Wales, protecting more than 475,000 hectares of precious forest on the Mid North Coast.
Home to around 12,000 koalas and more than 100 threatened species, this landmark park will safeguard wildlife, support First Nations stewardship, create new jobs, boost nature tourism and ensure these incredible forests are protected for generations to come.
After more than a decade of advocacy and planning, the Great Koala National Park is on track to open before the end of the year.
This protects over 100 threatened species and protects our tourism industry, but most importantly we protect the future of koalas.
