2 months into my first tutoring gig, explored a bunch of Trig (my wheelhouse) and learned a lot! Now on to Logarithms (definitely not my wheelhouse)... I've taught Logs 4 times and never tried to understand the log properties until now (e.g. log(x^a)=a*log(x)). Feels good! #mtbos
Anyone have good ideas of how to challenge students who are pretty good at solving 2 or 3 step equations mentally (usually arithmetically) to see the benefit of writing out algebraic steps? Ex. 5(x+7) - 2 = 63 w/ steps. Looking for activities or problem strings. #mtbos
