Some iota of faith I had in Indian democracy is now over!
UP CEO of ECI admitted to injection of thousand of fake voters on Pilibhit voter roll. More than a week later we found many have nor been removed. The Fake Voter Playbook is open to be used not just in Uttar Pradesh, but across India through ECI software 👇

While homestays are an issue, the athaphums/rounded phums fishing is no more like that of past. It is like culture fish farm inside Loktak. This wetland is meant only for capture fisheries. Time to curtail them.@LDA_Manipur

By linking the opposition of the indigenous communities with foreign funding, CNN-News18 is basically saying that the people of the Siang Valley are up for sale. Such a disrespectful media trial of the people of the Siang Valley who have protected their river from the state’s greed for 40 years and continue to stand up against state oppression and the Centre’s armed forces is unacceptable. Your narrative will not work because, unlike you, the people who want to save their river are not up for sale. The true anti-nationals and paid agents are those of you who use your medium and power to suppress and spin pro-government narratives against indigenous communities the very people who guard India’s border.

State will have to take responsibility for the violence that has escalated in Pasighat. You can’t expect people to keep quiet in the face of state oppression for years in the name of national security. Shah, Modi, and Khandu, this is a response to your provocation and your sponsored violence on people who are opposed to Siang Upper hydro project. NHPC office

We have similar ongoing practices here in Manipur too. deaths too. Unsatisfied with the outcome one headman went to court. Not all old practices are to be blindly followed.

springs are not just water rejuvenation, but also the linkages of life, of rivers and wetlands and the life thread that runs between the hills and the valley.

This is a matter of concern?
Some environmental activists are put behind bars, some others are eliminated, because “Progress” must continue, unquestioned!

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all. A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue. A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310. These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it. The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored. A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone. #PublicHealth #GoodGovernance #Leadership #TukaramMundhe moneycontrol.com/news/busine…

Chest-thumping over BRICS meets a reality check!
1/ BRICS went from 21.9% of world income in 2011 to 28.9% in 2025. Now take out China. The other ten members went from 11.9% to 11.5%. They did not rise. They fell.

#Keralam: A delegation of women MLAs from Keralam walked out of a two-day national workshop in Faridabad, organised by the National Commission for Women (NCW), protesting the exclusive use of Hindi and the absence of translation facilities. The capacity-building programme, inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, drew criticism from representatives of non-Hindi-speaking states who said they were unable to properly follow or participate in the sessions. Keralam Assembly Deputy Speaker Shanimol Usman said the delegation had expected practical guidance on legislative proceedings but found no arrangements for participants from South India or the Northeast. The Keralam delegation included Ministers Bindu Krishna and K A Thulasi, along with MLAs K K Rema, Fathima Thahliya, Vidya Balakrishnan and Usha Vijayan. The legislators also objected to the format, saying the sessions largely consisted of lectures without adequate opportunities for discussion or interaction. Tensions reportedly escalated after some Hindi-speaking delegates insisted that Hindi was the national language and questioned those who could not understand it. Following the confrontation, which was accompanied by slogans including “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, the Keralam legislators left the venue before the final session and closing ceremony. The NCW has not yet issued a response.

When the Mountain Does Not Keep the Promise I went to Kailash with Isha in 2008. I know how the sojourn works, because I paid for it, sat in the jeeps, felt the thin air at Manasarovar, and watched how the money and the risk were managed. A Nepal tour operator handled the bulk logistics for roughly fourteen thousand rupees a head in those days. The rest of the fee,the premium charged for travelling “with” Jaggi Vasudev, went into the organisation’s pocket. That is not a revelation. It is how packaged pilgrimages work. Call it spirituality if you like, the arithmetic is ordinary business. The claim that was not ordinary was the one attached to the brand: that people come back alive because of grace. Sadhguru has said versions of this for years, that he will not let you die, that bringing large groups home from Kailash is something only he can do. After the August 2026 flood at Gyirong, when one Isha group was at the immigration building as the water and silt arrived, those sentences sit differently. About eighty people from that group remain unaccounted for. In a calamity, the minimum ethic is not another discourse on hidden dimensions. It is to stop selling the idea that the body is exempt from weather, altitude, and timing. The quieter method behind the “everyone returns” record is not occult. Most independent groups still attempt the parikrama, the three-day circuit around the mountain at sixteen thousand feet and above, on foot or by mule, where oxygen is scarce and people do die. Isha’s pattern, at least as I lived it, was different. You do not do the full girivalam. You are taken to Manasarovar, told to meditate, given darshan of the eastern face, and brought back by vehicle. The explanation offered is that Kailash, as Meru, is properly seen from the east, the other sides do not count in the same way, so the dangerous circuit is unnecessary. Whether that is theology or risk management, the effect is the same: you avoid the stretch where the probability of a last breath is highest. I learned the limit of that arrangement in my own body. At Manasarovar I felt the air fail. My body began pulling oxygen from my blood,a high-altitude crisis I had never known. The mystical interventions did nothing I could measure. I was left at a Chinese hospital, alone. I do not remember how many days I was there. I went through what felt like three near-death episodes. Medicine and descent brought me back. The “powers” did not. That is the part that matters now. Charging a premium to sit in the same convoy is a business choice. Telling people that grace will keep them from dying is a different kind of product. When a glacier collapse and a flood erase an immigration hall, physical law does not pause for a master who has said he has been to Kailash fifty-one times. The families of the missing are not owed another story about inner fire. They are owed the recognition that the trip was sold as protected, and that protection was always logistics, timing, and the decision not to walk the hardest path. I came home from the lake. Others, this month, did not even get that far. The mountain does not keep promises. People make them. When the water comes, only the latter can be judged. Who Will Be Held Accountable for the Catastrophic Deluge in Upper Assam? by Kishor Kumar Kalita countercurrents.org/2026/07/… The devastating floods in Upper Assam have left widespread destruction, displaced lakhs of people, and exposed serious concerns about disaster preparedness and response. Kishor Kumar Kalita examines the scale of the catastrophe, the reported failures of early warning systems, and the gap between official promises and ground realities. Drawing on government statements, policy commitments, and accounts from affected communities, the article argues for accountability, a scientific investigation into the causes of the disaster, and a comprehensive rehabilitation package to help rebuild lives and livelihoods in the worst-affected districts.

Well @s_m_marandi absolutely perfectly sums up the situation expertly in response to Trump’s demented reckless Easter Sunday post Things are tremendously dangerous because @realDonaldTrump is completely out of control and willing to do anything to usher in the third temple and his Messiah (the anti christ) and cover up his Epstein files “This is a psychopath. And you can only imagine what they have on him—what kind of leverage or dirt they hold. But Iran is not going to back down. When those 10 days are over, if he begins to annihilate Iran’s key infrastructure, then everything in the Persian Gulf region will be annihilated. That will be the end of Kuwait. That will be the end of Qatar. It will be the end of Saudi Arabia. It will be the end of Bahrain. And it will be the end of the United Arab Emirates. It will be over. Everyone will have to leave immediately and cross the desert. And by the way, we are in spring—the heat will rise quickly. The weather will become extremely hot. You’ve lived in that region—you understand how it is. In the Persian Gulf, everything depends on electricity. Without electricity, those regimes collapse immediately. And with that, everything tied to the U.S. presence in West Asia collapses overnight. Of course, the Iraqis will act, and Yemen will act. So if they go for all-out war, the Iranians will respond with all-out war, along with the Axis of Resistance. And who will be the biggest losers? Zionism. Trump. Netanyahu. Because the world will see who destroyed their world. Even in India, those who foolishly supported Netanyahu and Zionism—despite being viewed as inferior by them—will come to realize that it was Netanyahu and the Zionists who destroyed their lives. The world will see everything for what it is. So when the 10 days are over, he can do what he wants. But Iran will finish the job. We are determined to end this war—this aggression that has been directed against our country since 1953—once and for all. I think the key point, when discussing the Strait of Hormuz, is: what role would the United States actually play? They are not prepared to fight Iran directly in the Strait of Hormuz. Instead, they have been trying to encourage or pressure Europeans to take on that role. As we speak, European countries are in contact. They are trying to engage diplomatically with Iran. For example, just before this broadcast, Austria’s foreign minister said she had been speaking with Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, about facilitating tanker passage through the Strait of Hormuz. This is the reality: anyone seeking a solution must speak with Iran. No one else controls the Strait of Hormuz. That is exactly the point—the so-called “mafia don” is no longer in charge. They must deal with Iran. You saw this shift at the UN Security Council—France changed its position. They understand where the real power lies. Even if they joined the United States in the Strait of Hormuz, they would not change the outcome. They would only make things worse for themselves and for the world. The Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s control, and going forward, it will remain under Iran’s control—potentially in coordination with Oman, if they choose to cooperate. But Iran will control the Strait of Hormuz. That is the reality now, whether the Americans or Europeans accept it or not. And the Europeans are beginning to recognize this. Trump, meanwhile, behaves like a five-year-old child—a psychopath throwing constant temper tantrums because things are not going his way. He’ll break his toys, your toys, everyone’s toys. And this is the person leading the United States. The political class around him is not much different—he is just more crude. The fact that European ships are now passing through safely reflects this shift. France changed its position. If Europeans want access to the Persian Gulf, they will have to change their mindset and their policies.”
